Abstract

The symbiotic diazotrophs comprise with a very diverse group of Gram negative soil bacteria, collectively called as rhizobia found in nodule of legume plant. Rhizobia adopt themselves in different environment including soil, rhizosphere and grown within legume roots, where they fix nitrogen. The establishment of symbiosis is a very complicated process involving a coordinated exchange of signal between legume plants and the symbionts. The nodule development requires synthesis of signal molecules such as Nod factors that are important for induction of nodule development. There are different types of surface polysaccharides such as lipopolysaccharides, capsular polysaccharides, neutral and acidic polysaccharides found in rhizobia. The production of symbiotically active polysaccharides may allow rhizobial strains to adapt themselves to changing environmental conditions and interact efficiently with legume plants. Despite extensive research, the actual molecular function of the surface polysaccharides of rhizobia in symbiosis remains unclear. This review emphasized on the structural composition of extracellular polysaccharide of different rhizobia isolated from different legume plants. The compositions of extracellular polysaccharides are different in different rhizobia. The various compositions of extracellular polysaccharides produced by the symbionts are considered as the signaling molecules essential for determining host plant specificity. The present status of the biological functions of the exo-polysaccharide in symbiosis such as host specificity, successful invasion, formation of infection thread and induction of nodule formation in legume plants is also summarized here.

Abstract

The present statement comes from the need to give answers to a conflict that I have come across along my professional career in the audiovisual sector in Málaga: The low level of professional performance and lack of organisation and resources in fiction production in the audiovisual sector of Málaga. Low budgets, lack of public financial help and subventions, deficiency of professional TV crew and equipment are some of the reasons why our fiction productions do not get to grow as serious productions that could compete with good TV products, as it is the case of other Spanish cities like Madrid, which has not only got to consolidate the TV series as a profitable audiovisual product, but also has been able to connect with the needs of the audience. Nonetheless, It has to be pointed out, that although to develop a good professional performance in this field, the finance is a big conditioning; it is not the only impediment to carry out a good quality production. The lack of creativity is in may cases, together with bad organization are some of the problems that we come across in Malaga and equally in the rest of the cities in Andalusia, which is delaying the take off of the audiovisual production companies in Andalusia. This report is based in the conclusions before mentioned, and in trying to satisfy the vital understanding and explain the points of action in the developing of fiction projects within the Malaga TV production companies, and which are the reasons why they go on following the wrong working attitudes that lead us to make the same mistakes again and again. It is all about understanding the group of elements that compose the fiction TV productions in Malaga and the roots of the deficiencies that this sector is suffering not only in Malaga , but also in the rest of the cities of Andalusia.

Part 7: Lean and Green Manufacturing; International audience; In recent years the topic of air pollution is gaining more attention due to the health effects its has on human lives. At the same time, we can observe popularization of Electric Vehicles (EVs), due to their environmental and economic benefits. However, a few studies suggest that EVs might be not environmental friendly in the long term. Hence, there is a need to investigate the emissions produced by EVs and the monetary cost of them on the health. This paper aims to quantify the cost of health diseases by employing life cycle assessment of EVs in Japan, China, Poland and the United Kingdom. The results of the study imply that the total cost of health issues is lower when import of EVs is from the nearby countries, which generate electricity from clean energy resources or when it is produced in a low emission country locally. Abstract

Demand-side management and demand response are proposed as a means to solve different objectives in smart grids, such as, e.g., maximizing self-consumption of a house or peak shaving. Crucial components in these approaches are load shiftable/steerable devices, so-called smart appliances. Although several studies already use these devices and determine how to use their flexibility, their impact on — or value for — the overall system is not studied. This paper provides a methodology to calculate the value of flexibility of smart devices. The methodology makes it possible to quantitatively compare the impact of these devices for different kinds of objectives. The developed methodology is applied in a case study to compare the flexibility of white goods, home batteries and electric vehicles. The results indicate among others that smart white goods may not always be that important for smart grids.

Abstract

Large controllable loads, such as electric vehicles, are increasingly penetrating electricity distribution feeders. To avoid local congestion, their consumption behaviour must be steered, for which a real-time price propagated down from the transmission system does not suffice, as it does not reflect local grid conditions. To efficiently steer the charging of EVs by multiple self-interested parties, we propose an auction framework which accounts for local grid conditions, the limited flexibility of EVs, and the uncertainty inherent to small-scale networks. We formulate the EV charging problem as a job scheduling problem for self-interested aggregators, and auction network capacity"br/"for discrete time slots using sequentially-cleared auctions, which run in parallel. We simulate this auction on a local network using realistic data for EV driving behaviour and network capacity, showing this method leads to feasible allocations which are fairer in case one party is weaker than the other due to size or information asymmetry.
