Abstract

Factor analysis was used to investigate the changes of dry-wet climate in the dry season in Yunnan during 1961–2007 based on observed data from 15 stations. Three common factors were extracted from the 9 climatic factors. The results showed that the dry-wet climate has evidently changed since the early 1960s. The general trends in the changes of dry-wet climate were described as slight decrease in humidity and gradual enhancement in drought intensity. The climate during 1960s–1980s was under weak-medium drought. But since early 1990s, dry conditions have markedly strengthened and continued due to uneven temporal distribution of rainfall and climate warming. Abstract

Free-floating bicycle-sharing systems are an important component of sustainable transport. China&rsquo s bicycle-sharing schemes have experienced ups and downs in the past three years, and there are a lot of related studies, but there are relatively few studies on the causes of disorderly parking of shared bikes. In this study, an open questionnaire is used to widely collect the causes of the disorderly parking of shared bicycles from users. Through factor analysis, six factors and 32 criteria for the causes of disorderly parking are constructed. Factor 1 &lsquo supervision and management of enterprises&rsquo factor 2 &lsquo supervision and management of users&rsquo factor 3 &lsquo parking space&rsquo factor 4 &lsquo guidance of parking shared bikes&rsquo factor 5 &lsquo user self-discipline&rsquo factor 6 &lsquo operation and maintenance&rsquo . Turksoy, Omer/0000-0003-4620-4503 WOS: 000492797300026 The energy efficiency of the battery charging system directly affects the distance which electric vehicles can get with per charge process. In addition, reducing current harmonics distortion (THD) increases the electrical quality and power conversion performance. This paper proposes intelligent control of high-efficiency two-stage battery charger topology for electric vehicles (EVs). In the first stage, for low harmonics of input current, high power factor and high efficiency, the average current mode controlled ac/dc boost power factor (pf) correction method constructed and analyzed with 98% efficiency and the power factor is achieved higher than 0.99. Additionally, in the second stage, for high energy efficiency, higher battery lifespan and allowing EVs to get more miles with per charge, a half-bridge LLC resonant converter controlled with a designed artificial neural network (ANN). Moreover, the LLC resonant converter controlled under dynamic load to analysis system from no-load to full-load. A 3.1 kW powered system has been designed for this study, the efficiency of the system has been calculated based on European efficiency standards and the peak efficiency of the whole system is 96.2%, the load voltage ripple is less than 0.5 V and also total harmonic distortion of the source current is less than 5%. Abstract

As an important province in the southeast coastal area, Fujian is composed of 9 cities. Due to various economic, political and geographical influences, the logistics development of these cities is uneven. Based on the analysis of the factors affecting the competitiveness of urban logistics, this paper establishes the evaluation index system of urban logistics competitiveness. Factor analysis is used to evaluate the logistics competitiveness index of each city in Fujian Province, and the comprehensive score and ranking of the logistics competitiveness of each city are obtained. Cluster analysis is used to divide 9 cities in Fujian into 4 categories, and the reasons for the results are analyzed. Document type: Article

Abstract

The study of reputation, applied to different objects (companies, territories, institutions…) has gained relevance in the last years, as it can be seen from the increasing volume of scientific papers dealing with the subject. This paper analyzes the corporate reputation of media enterprises (press, radio and television), providing for the first time an empirical evidence about the canonical values on which the media reputation depends. Likewise, the variables in which the values are disaggregated and which qualitatively and quantitatively define this dependency are analyzed. Thanks to the multivariate analysis of the results of a survey conducted in Spain among more than a hundred professionals and managers who work for a sample of media, it has been possible to establish that the journalistic or professional values account for approximately three quarters of their reputation and that the rest corresponds to the second of the canonical values of the media reputation: the business values.

Abstract

The results of an online cross-cultural survey conducted from mid-March to mid-April 2020 in various countries (N = 789) are presented. The theoretical basis of this work is uses and gratifications theory. This work provides a novel contribution regarding communication use in the context of the coronavirus pandemic. The results indicate that the consumption of information about the coronavirus is structured along four latent dimensions: (a) specialized health information on the Internet, official websites, and obtained through health personnel; (b) through “visual” social media; (c) through “written” social media and face-to-face contacts; and (d) through the mass media. Significant differences are found in all the dimensions of consumption depending on age and country of residence. Furthermore, it is observed that high consumption of information about the coronavirus increases perceived knowledge on the subject, which in return leads to the adoption of preventive measures. The present work provides a first snapshot of communication use in the face of the coronavirus pandemic crisis and provides a portrait of the behavior of communication users in the month immediately after the declaration of the Covid-19 pandemic worldwide. It can be concluded that communication has played a fundamental role in transmitting preventive information in the face of the coronavirus crisis.
