Abstract

The balance of the activity of Spanish archives in 2011 is remarkably satisfactory. Areas where improvement has led to a more relevant improvement (document management regulations, digital preservation, access, human rights) and the need for increased efforts in training, archival legislation, re-use of information and research are pointed out.

Abstract

The first two products of the series of ISO 30300 Management system for records standards are going to be published soon. Their principal characteristics are described, as well as the integration process with other MSS (management system standards) like ISO 9000 or 14000. Key issues for practical implementation are presented.
