Abstract

In 2005, the current socialist government has set out to undertake the greatest update in broadcasting policy since 1956, the moment in which television was born in Spain. This transformation is related to the quick digital reconversion that television has suffered in the latest years. Despite the changes in the law and some reasons to be optimistic about technological development in a recent future the television of the 21st century can not do without being profitable in a social, cultural and educative sense. This is a challenge which many countries have not faced yet and Spain is among these countries. Some models of public television in the world have consolidated proposals of broadcasting contents that make a priority out of the cultural and educative role of television.

Abstract

Television provides a common base for the first phases in children´s socialization. The language in television rests on three elements: visual tools, the tribute to personality and the spectacularity in the information. The mix of these three topics produces an emotional logic for all television contents. This paper deals with the topic of the emotional audio-visual language in television and its influence for children, especially some programmes like advertising.

I´m a teacher in the Adults Education Centre. I consider all the media we work are very stimulating for pupils. I think the media can be the best choice to participate avoiding our pasivity. The Media help learn new social ways of living. There are new forms of oral comunication experienced by teenagers, especially chat in internet. Media make oral language rich and adapt themselves to people changing circunstance in order to improve their own language. A web site should give a series of contents suitable for on line Media. Emotion is one of the most used resources for getting and maintening the viewer´s attention in audiovisual context. In the future, we will all be working from home, using computers, mobile phones, the internet, TV with NICAM digital stereo. I think we´ll be watching TV in the mobile phone. I can imagine having 500 television channels trasmitting into my home. We will be thinking about the new technology on our society.

Abstract

The television history has treated the educational system in an unequal form. The public European televisions have played a key role especially in the paleotelevision time, coinciding with the introduction of the educational television. Reductions in cultural and educational programs arrived in the 80s. When public televisions undertake television commercialization the situation worsen with the protagonism of the audience measurements and the brand loyalty. Today, the new increasingly fragmented television, the multimedia industry and internet have many things to say to educate a new society that needs permanent learning and revising by means of comfortable multibroadcast solutions.

The universities have the responsibility to prove to the society that there is a different way to produce prime television and to help to their students to grow up into the situation society-mass media. The universities produce knowledge and generate a different attitude to face problems. The universities of this century must be reinvented by their own and not continue being a closed circle where some of them are dealing with the knowledge. The universities must become in a center for discussion in order to find the true and a better way of living, this effort could be by TV programs of different branches of knowledge by specialists in those subjects.

In this work we presented a experience of the use of the television like a educational resource, with the primary target to educate to the pupils in the aggressive techniques for the diffusion of products as they are the announcements. The brief pupils carry out spots in which they will announce the virtues of a product trying to convince possible consumers of the necessity of his use. Thus, by means of the game they could be you participate in the mechanisms that are behind the announcements to which as much they are customary.
