Abstract
Presentation of the "HPC-SHEAKS" experiment during the Kick off Meeting which took place on July 2015, in the frame of the Fortissimo Forum in Amsterdam. The Forum was a platform for Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), Service Providers, Small & Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and technical experts around the theme of HPC applications in the cloud.
The HPC-Sheaks experiment aimed to increase the efficiency of the design, engineering and building processes of a marine structure, by offering to the market added-value tools that, thanks to high performance computing, can be used further down from the final design phase, and allowing its integration in the design cycle to develop more competitive designs.
