A decentralized control approach for transportation networks to prevent traffic congestion is presented. The approach was developed by considering flow control and routing control together. The control algorithm is based on a previously proposed congestion measure. In this paper, in order to illustrate the performance of the proposed controller, some simulation results are presented.
