Rafael B. García-Etxabe is a member of the Sustainable Composites and Functional Polymers Department at GAIKER Technology Center. Over more than three decades, he has participated in numerous national and international research projects related to composite and polymeric materials, collaborating in both technical and management tasks. His experience covers the modification and additivation of plastic materials using compounding techniques and their subsequent transformation through molding processes (injection, rotational molding, etc.). For the past 10 years, he has been integrated into the Composite Materials Area, gaining expertise in the design, development, and manufacturing of long fiber composites. Additionally, recent activities have led him to acquire solid knowledge on the incorporation of electronics and composite monitoring through sensor integration.
