I received my B.Sc. and M. Tech degrees from Aksum University, Ethiopia, and IIT (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad, India, in 2017 and 2021, respectively. Before joining IIT (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad, India, I worked as a lecturer at Aksum University and Addis Ababa Science and Technology University (AASTU). I used to teach different courses such as mining development, surface mining, rock excavation, and mine equipment and machinery, among others. I have been actively involved in research and community service activities, both in groups and independently. I received my doctoral degree from the Graduate School of International Resource Sciences at Akita University, Japan. My research expertise lies at the intersection of mining technology, mining informatics, sustainability of resources and environment, development of mineral resources and energy resources, mining digitalization, machine learning, and AI in mining, drilling, and blasting, rock excavation, and life cycle assessment (LCA) in mining. I've authored numerous peer-reviewed research articles, delving into different topics, and conducted over 20 verified peer reviews for esteemed journals such as the Journal of Mining and Environment, Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration, Frontier in Materials, Arabian Journal of Geosciences (Springer), Safety in Extreme Environments (Springer), International Journal of Mining and Geo-Engineering (IJMGE), and the Journal of the Institution of Engineers (India): Series D (Springer), Heliyon, FirePhysChem, and Advances in Mechanical Engineering.
