Abstract
Estamos viviendo tiempo de pandemia de un virus tipo coronavirus el COVID 19, causante de una enfermedad que si bien el 80% de la población cursa como una gripe cualquiera con catarro, dolor de garganta, malestar general, tos, fiebre y se mejora rápidamente, en un 20% de la población este puede causar más daño prolongándose y profundizándose sus síntomas causando daños respiratorios, cardiovasculares y deterioro del estado general ameritando la hospitalización, tratamiento médico específico, algunos necesitaran apoyo ventilatorio en una UCI y un 2% de estos pacientes morirán . Es por ello que debemos estar conscientes de la situación que enfrentamos; una pandemia, un caso inédito en la historia reciente de la humanidad con repercusiones globales no solo desde el punto de vista Sanitario sino social y económico.

Abstract
El Doctor Oswaldo Valdivia nació en 1937 en Arequipa, Perú. En 1958 inició sus estudios en la carrera de medicina, en el primer año nació el amor por la neuroanatomía y en el cuarto año inicio su labor como docente. Se graduó como médico en 1964 y de anatomopatólogo en 1966. Contrajo matrimonio en 1962 con Zulema Valdivia con quien tuvo 3 hijos, en 1968 fue becado para entrenamiento de microscopia electrónica en la universidad de Wisconsin. En 1973 decidió emigrar hacia Venezuela debido a la situación del Perú y por una oferta laboral de parte de la Universidad Centroccidental Lisandro Alvarado (UCLA), donde se desenvolvió como profesor de anatomía microscópica a dedicación exclusiva, ampliadas contribuciones como la incorporación de la microscopia electrónica en la región centroccidental del país en 1980. Realizó diversos trabajos de investigación, principalmente sobre leishmaniasis, fue profesor jubilado activo de la UCLA hasta sus últimos días. En su ejercicio profesional dio grandes aportes a la salud pública, participando en jornadas de pesquisa de patológica cervical y formando profesionales de la salud. Fallece el 18 de noviembre de 2019 en Perú, su tierra natal.

Abstract
La medicina del estilo de vida (MdelEV) ha ganado relevancia en la prevención, el tratamiento y la reversión de la mayoría de las enfermedades crónicas, abordando directamente sus causas subyacentes. Con base en lo anterior, este artículo tuvo como objetivo realizar una revisión descriptiva de los elementos fundamentales que caracterizan a la Medicina del Estilo de Vida, sus avances en la investigación clínica en las áreas de nutrición, ejercicio y reducción del estrés, así como la tendencia creciente de convertirla en un componente integral de los planes de estudio de las escuelas de medicina. Se realizó una búsqueda exhaustiva en diferentes fuentes documentales, utilizando las categorías Medicina de Estilo de Vida, Principios básicos de Medicina de Estilo de Vida, Medicina Convencional vs. Medicina de Estilo de Vida, estudios clínicos en MdelEV, así como medicina de estilo de vida como subespecialidad médica. Se revisaron aproximadamente 60 artículos científicos abstractos. Mediante el uso de criterios de inclusión, se seleccionaron 27 artículos y se sometieron a una lectura integral y analítica. En el desarrollo y discusión del tema se presentan los resultados de la revisión, destacando el uso del modelo de determinantes sociales de la salud propuesto por la OMS, hallazgos de investigaciones experimentales sobre la reversión de los factores de riesgo en las ETS y avances en la formación. profesional. Abstract
El termino envejecimiento activo es relativamente novedoso y muy poco conocido a pesar de que en los últimos tiempos se ha hablado mucho de esto. El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo revisar la literatura frente a la atención en salud del adulto mayor. El método que se utilizó fue una revisión narrativa a través de una exploración de artículos científicos en las bases de datos: Science direct, Pubmed y Scielo. En los resultados se encontró que en varios artículos los adultos mayores no se encontraban satisfechos con la atención que recibían en salud. Como conclusiones según lo referido por las personas mayores, hay una brecha grande entre lo que se dice en las políticas públicas de envejecimiento y lo que realmente se está haciendo en la prestación de servicios. En cuanto a la percepción que tienen los adultos mayores de su salud en Antioquia, hay un porcentaje muy alto que cree que la atención en salud no es la adecuada.

Enteric parasitosis in school children: importance of associated parasites

Abstract
La presencia simultánea de varios parásitos puede tener importancia clínica-epidemiológica y también podría determinar la conducta terapéutica a seguir en la persona poliparasitada. Se realizó un estudio retrospectivo de tipo correlacional, partiendo de niños en edad escolar poliparasitados, se determinó el índice de afinidad de Fager para establecer las asociaciones entre los principales enteroparásitos identificados y determinar su importancia. Entre los años 2007 y 2016 fueron evaluados 11 escuelas (10 en el municipio Heres y 1 en el municipio Caroní) y 1277 niños entre 5 y 15 años de edad. La distribución de los niños evaluados fue homogénea con relación al género ya que se estudiaron 48,0% (n = 613) del género femenino y 52% (n = 664) del masculino. De las 1277 muestras analizadas, 811 muestras formas evolutivas de enteroparásitos, lo que indica un 63,7% de frecuencia. En orden los más comunes fueron los cromistas mostraron porBlastocystis spp. (49,3%), seguido de los protozoarios Endolimax nana (14,5%) y Entamoeba coli (11,7%), y en último lugar, los helmintos, donde el mayor frecuencia fue Ascaris lumbricoides (5,5% ) Los escolares resultaron poliparasitados en 43.2% de los casos, siendo el parásito más específicamente asociado Blastocystis spp. con 90% de los casos, seguido de E. nana (43,1%) y E. coli (35,4%). Los índices de afinidad (I AB ) y las pruebas de "t" efectuadas, señalan asociación entre Blastocystis spp. y los protozoarios G. intestinalis , E. nana y E. coliy entre los geohelmintos Trichuris trichiura y A. lumbricoides . En conclusión, las asociaciones que expresaron significación estadística de acuerdo al índice de afinidad de Fager y al estudio estadístico fueron: entre el cromista Blastocystis spp. y los protozoarios G. intestinalis , E. nana y E. coli y entre los helmintos Ascaris lumbricoides-Trichuris trichiura .

Abstract
El objetivo fue determinar la capacidad del índice circunferencia abdominal – talla para predecir dos o más alteraciones clínico-metabólicas, según sitio de medición de circunferencia abdominal. Se hizo un estudio observacional analítico transversal. Se estudiaron 800 adolescentes de ambos sexos (405 hombres), entre 15 y 19 años de edad, inscritos en 31 instituciones de educación media – diversificada y educación universitaria del Municipio Iribarren – Lara - Venezuela. Los jóvenes firmaron consentimiento informado. Se evaluó nivel socioeconómico, hábitos alimentarios, actividad física, talla y circunferencia abdominal en tres sitios anatómicos: encima de crestas ilíacas, punto medio y debajo del reborde costal. Se calculó la índice circunferencia abdominal – talla para cada sitio. Se evaluó presión arterial, perfil lipídico y glucemia. Se realizaron análisis estadísticos bivariados y regresión logística. Como resultado se logró modelar la probabilidad de dos o más alteraciones clínico – metabólicas como una función del índice circunferencia abdominal – talla, tanto debajo del reborde costal como en crestas ilíacas, sin embargo, el grado de asociación varió según el sitio anatómico, siendo mayor la probabilidad de dos o más alteraciones clínico – metabólicas en el primero. Tal probabilidad fue directamente proporcional al índice circunferencia abdominal – talla y mayor en hombres. Se concluye que la grasa abdominal superior predijo mejor dos o más alteraciones clínico – metabólicas en comparación con la grasa inferior del abdomen. Con esto podría unificarse el sitio anatómico de medición de la circunferencia abdominal, inmediatamente por debajo del reborde costal, para identificar adolescentes con mayor probabilidad de presentar dichas alteraciones, como factores de riesgo cardiovascular.

Work accidents and disability in municipal police of Iribarren of de Lara State

Abstract
La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar las características de los accidentes de trabajo y discapacidad en los policías Municipales de Iribarren del Estado Lara. El estudio estuvo enmarcado en una investigación de campo descriptiva, transversal. Se seleccionó una población objetivo de 297 trabajadores de dicho cuerpo de seguridad. Se aplicó un cuestionario previamente validado mediante el juicio de tres expertos, utilizando la técnica de la entrevista, con el fin de determinar los aspectos sociodemográficos y laborales de los policías, las características epidemiológicas y laborales de los accidentes de trabajo, las características clínicas y laborales de los accidentes de trabajo y la discapacidad según aspectos clínicos- legales. Los resultados más significativos fueron: 37,71% de los policías tenían edades comprendidas 33-37 años, 88,55 % eran del sexo masculino, su grado de instrucción era secundaria en 50.84%, %, el estado civil es casado 54,88%, tenían turno mixto el 84,85%, el rango operativo 94,61 %, el 41,08 % de los policías eran oficiales agregados, en cuanto a la antigüedad laboral es de 6 a 10 años en un 51,85 %. La frecuencia de accidente fue 59.60%, de los instrumentos causantes del accidente fueron armas de fuego 57,85%, la actividad realizada al momento del accidente fue el patrullaje en 22,60%, el tipo de accidente fue por el hecho en 51,98%, el 73,45% de los policías no notifico el accidente, el sitio anatómico más afectado fueron los miembros superiores 27,68%, la severidad de la lesión fue grave en 42,37%, el tipo de discapacidad más común fue la parcial permanente en 38,42%. Este estudio es un aporte para la Policía Municipal y para organizaciones similares, pues sus resultados proporcionan datos estadísticos que pudieran servir para la realización de programas preventivos que permitan buscar soluciones al problema de los accidentes de trabajo y la discapacidad.

Abstract
Interpersonal relationships are fundamental for the development of society, however, disagreements, needs and particularinterests are the perfect breeding ground to generate conflicts, the problem lies in the course that these conflicts can take.Daza, Pérez and López, (1998) affirm that, workplace harassment does not occur exclusively for causes directly related to theperformance of work or its organization, but rather it has its origin in the interpersonal relationships established in any socialentity. The objective of this research was to determine the level of knowledge that occupational health professionals have inrelation to the criteria that intervene in the diagnosis of situations associated with interpersonal conflicts and workplaceharassment. The methodology was based on a non-experimental field research descriptive type. The population consisted of50 professionals who went to the registry of professionals of safety and health before the Institute of Prevention ofOccupational Health and Safety in the period of January / December 2017, a non-probabilistic sample was taken as intentional,as Exclusion criteria were taken only by health professionals at work. For the data collection a questionnaire of 30dichotomous items was designed. The results revealed that the professionals studied had difficulties in recognizing the factorsthat intervene in the diagnosis of the variables of interest. It is concluded that these professionals have a medium level ofknowledge in relation to the elements that intervene in the diagnosis of situations associated with interpersonal conflicts andworkplace harassment.

Abstract
Tomando como punto de partida reflexiones de editoriales anteriores, nos referiremos al paradigma de lacomplejidad para tratar de explicar problemas sociales y salud enfermedad de la población en la población infantilpor su vulnerabilidad, magnitud y complejidad para entenderlo. Este paradigma propone articular lasinterdependencias de los saberes disciplinarios o especializados, y concibe una organización o complejidad sistémicaentre el todo y las partes, que le permite ser capaz de auto-eco-reproducirse y regenerarse al relacionarse con sumedio o entorno. Bajo este enfoque la Salud pública se convierte en un crisol donde pueden converger muchasdisciplinas para entender y abordar los problemas que afectan el bienestar de la población desde esa visión complejade su entorno que incluya lo físico, psicológico, antroposocial, espiritual, lo cultural y lo político e ideológicamenteconstruido.

Abstract
Malaria is a hemoparasitosis caused by intracellular protozoa belonging to the genus Plasmodium and transmitted by the bite of femalemosquitoes of the genus Anopheles . A descriptive, cross-sectional study was carried out in the indigenous communities of Bajo Caura,Sucre and Cedeño municipalities, Bolívar state, Venezuela, during the 2015-2016 period. The sample consisted of 244 inhabitants ofthe communities under study. An epidemiological survey was applied to each participant and a blood sample was taken by capillarypuncture, with prior consent and informed settlement. The diagnosis was made by direct parasitological methods of thick blood smearand smear. To relate the presence of malaria and epidemiological variables, the chi-square independence test was applied. Theobserved frequency was 7.0%, all detected cases belong to the Sucre municipality. Female people younger than 10 years of age weremore vulnerable to infection. The species Plasmodium falciparum and Plasmodium vivax were identified, the latter being the mostprevalent. The variables fever, symptomatology associated with malaria, degree of knowledge of the disease and type of housing, wereassociated with infection by Plasmodium spp. Under the conditions of this study it is concluded that, in spite of the results found in theindigenous communities, there is a focus of active malaria transmission. Finally, the information obtained represents a contribution atthe moment of making decisions regarding the components such as surveillance, control and health promotion around malaria.

Health professionals are subject to stressful situations almost daily, the current Venezuelan reality means that thesesituations are not limited only to the workplace but even to the daily life of all citizens; In this sense, the successfulresolution of these situations will depend on the subject's own resilience, which will help reduce stress, improvephysical and mental well-being and therefore the quality of service provided. Distribute the professionals according tosocial-labor variables; Determine the levels of resilience. A quantitative, correlational, non-experimental research wascarried out. The population was constituted by the health personnel that worked in the PICU and the sample by 33workers who met the inclusion criteria: more than 6 months working in the PICU. Abstract
This essay lays out some thoughts regarding the social healing practices that coexist with scientific Medicine in Venezuela, pursuant towhat has been expressed by expert doctors, young specialist doctors and users of the healthcare services in the Socialist Venezuela of the21 st century. The interest of such research focused on interpreting with a critical spirit the meanings of the medical discourse regarding thecharacteristics of scientific and pre-scientific medicine, as well as the users’ experiences who combined scientific medicine withtraditional medicine practices in the search for a solution to their health problems. I took the critical analysis of discourse described byTeun Van Dijk as core of the investigation. I found differences between medical voices: While expert doctors centered their attention onthe importance of scientific Medicine, its achievements, challenges and contradictions, thinking about the need to apply scientificmedicine in order to reveal truths hidden by traditional practices, young doctors focused their attention on the supremacy of scientifictraining during medical education, the discrimination suffered by traditional healing practices under medical training and medicalpractice, as opposed to the frequent use of traditional healing practices in the rural and urban populations they have assisted. Theconcerns expressed by users of the healthcare services revealed a complementary coexistence of Medicine and traditional practices. Toconclude, the horizons of change that might a complementary coexistence be useful for the reconstruction of the Healthcare System inVenezuela were presented: Critical & Theoretical Integration of the Contemporary Biomedical and Traditional Sociomedical Paradigmsfrom an interdisciplinary point of view.

Abstract
Exposure to cardiovascular risk factors (CVRF) during childhood and adolescence may be associated with the development of atherosclerosis in adult life. The objective of the present investigation was to evaluate the cardiovascular risk factors in adolescents, belonging to two diversified education institutions of the Iribarren Municipality, Barquisimeto, Lara State. It was a prospective, descriptive investigation, through which clinical and paraclinical parameters were determined to evaluate CVRF, such as hypertension, dyslipidemia, obesity, overweight, sedentary lifestyle and smoking. The sampling was non-probabilistic and consisted of 136 adolescents. It was found that 38.97% of the adolescents evaluated did not present any cardiovascular risk factor and 61.09% presented one or more risk factors. Of these, 80.95 %% presented a risk factor, 11.90%) two risk factors (dyslipidemia-obesity or dyslipidemia-high blood pressure figures) and 7.15% more than three cardiovascular risk factors (dyslipidemia -obesity-high blood pressure figures-sedentary lifestyle). In the present study it was possible to establish that adolescents presented cardiovascular risk factors such as dyslipidemia, overweight / obesity, hypertension, physical inactivity and smoking. The presence of a family history of cardiovascular disease was recorded. Consequently, it is necessary to promote opportunities for intervention in the prevention and control of cardiovascular disease with actions aimed at health promotion must be incorporated at the national and community level, through mass communication educational campaigns aimed at tobacco, healthy eating and physical activity, both in parents and in children and adolescents.

Abstract
Parasitic diseases affect millions of people worldwide, most commonly in children, are closely linked to poverty and other socio-economic factors. The study aimed to establish the relationship between intestinal parasites, and epidemiological and nutritional status in preschool educational institutions of the municipality Coropo, Aragua, Venezuela. We evaluated 145 children and their feces were analyzed using the techniques of physiological saline, Lugol, Kato, Faust, Baermann and Graham. Nutritional assessment was performed using clinical evaluation and anthropometric indicators, with the cut offs, excess: > p90; Normal: between p10 and p90; deficit: 0.05). However, they observed a statistically significant association (p <0.05), washing hands before eating and after using the bathroom and the presence of intestinal parasites. We obtained a high percentage of normal in anthropometric indicators: Weight for the Age 80%, Size for Age 66.9%, Cephalic Circumference for the Age 71.72% and Brachial Circumference for the Age 82.76%, these can be influenced by the existence of a dining room where the children who study there have breakfast and lunch.. Abstract
Urinary infections frequently presents recurrences, justifying repeated treatments that can lead to bacterial resistance, which has become a public health problem. The objective of this work is to determine the sensitivity patterns of bacterial strains isolated from patients with mild urinary tract infection in Barquisimeto, Lara state in the period January - July 2017. This is a quantitative, descriptive and transversal research. The universe consisted of 715 patients with suspected urinary infection. The sample selected was 525 patients who attended the clinic of the Cooperativa Cecosesola. Samples were processed according to CLSI procedures for culture and antibiogram. The results were analyzed with the Microsoft Excel 2010 program. In 33% (175) of the samples, bacterial growth was obtained. The female gender predominated in 85% of the samples analyzed. The results obtained indicated that the isolated bacterial strains were Escherichia coli (75%), Enterobacter cloacae (10%), Proteus species (7%), Klebsiella pneumoniae (4%), Pseudomonas aeruginosa (2%) and others (2%; cocos Gram Positives and Candida spp). 85% of the strains of E. coli were sensitive to quinolones, 80% to aminoglycosides, 75% to nitrofurantoin, 50% to trimethoprim sulfate and only 40% to cephalexin. The data obtained indicates that antimicrobials useful in the treatment of urinary tract infections in the study population are quinolones, aminoglycosides and nitrofurantoin as a third option.

Malnutrition and the food crisis are facts that affect the majority of people living in Venezuela; this situation has been mentioned in this magazine on several occasions through research articles, as a public health problem. On the other hand, the Caritas Organization of Venezuela, estimates that in our country 280,000 children could die from malnutrition. In accordance with the last editorial of the Venezuelan Public Health Magazine1, we can add that by the year 2018 tuberculosis is emerging as one of the ten (10) main causes of mortality in the world2 presenting a moderate rate of 26.1 in Venezuela. per 100,000 inhabitants. The Delta Amacuro state represents one of the highest caseloads in Venezuela, especially in indigenous populations such as the Warao ethnic group where prevalence has been achieved in children with up to 60% pulmonary tuberculosis in populations such as San Francisco del Guayo in the Orinoco Delta3; also in indians of the Colombian Orinoquía, there have been rising rates of tuberculosis greater than 1% of the population. Among the main causes of this increase are the increase in the resistance of the causative agent to the drugs, the increase in the number of cases of HIV patients, the weakening of the epidemiological surveillance programs, the presence of cases of pulmonary tuberculosis. diagnosed and untreated, delay in the diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of the disease, as well as the persistence of malnutrition and overcrowding which are expressions of economic vulnerability in this group of patients4. Tuberculosis is considered the second cause of death globally and the first among infectious diseases5. Abstract
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is characterized by a pattern of lack of attention, hyperactivity and impulsivity; derived from poor behavioral, cognitive and emotional self-regulation that negatively impacts the patient and their environment, and that if we are treated in time can trigger behavioral, emotional and social problems such as mood disorders, antisocial behavior, substance abuse among others. To explain ADHD, Barkley (1997) points out that the key symptoms underlie a deficit in inhibitory control associated with executive dysfunctions, which impede self-regulation. The objective of the present investigation was to determine self-regulation in children with ADHD. The research was carried out through a non-experimental and transversal design. The population consisted of parents of children with ADHD between 6 and 8 years of age who attend the Psychoeducational Development Center CEDEPSI, C.A. For data collection, the executive function evaluation questionnaire was used through the BRIEF behavior. Among the results, the existence of failures of self-regulation at a behavioral, cognitive and emotional level was detected, detected in the executive functions of emotional control, working memory and monitoring mainly. Therefore, the need to stimulate adequate executive functioning and self-regulatory capacities in children with ADHD is considered imperative

These relationships began with Dr. Luis Razetti and his legacy that goes through time by his disciples. We describe the events and personalities that influenced Dr. Bartolomé Celli during three periods of his life: university medical studies, practice in the rural areas and postgraduate cardiology studies. We highlight the lessons learned in each period, maintaining the basic doctrine as a fundamental condition.

Abstract
ABSTRACT Currently many studies suggest that social capital is a key determinant of physical and psychological health in the population; however little is known about the relationship between this and the behaviors associated with lifestyles. The aim of this study is to identify, through a review of the literature, the empirical evidence that assesses the relationship between social capital and behaviors associated with lifestyles. Original sources in English, Spanish and Portuguese of the databases were reviewed: Pubmed, Scielo, Ebsco, Google Scholar and Sciencedirect between the years 2000 and 2017; was using the following descriptors: social capital, lifestyles and health behaviors. The final sample consisted of thirty-six articles. The findings suggest that social capital is related to all the factors associated with lifestyles to a greater or lesser extent. Studies support the idea that social participation, social support networks, social trust and membership as elements of social capital have a significant influence on lifestyles, hence the important of incorporating it in future programs and interventions of health promotion.

Abstract
Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) is an endocrine-metabolic dysfunction that affects 6 to 10% of women of reproductive age. It is characterize by chronic anovulation, hyperandrogenism and the presence of metabolic complications such as obesity, dyslipidemia, arterial hypertension, coronary artery disease and fatty liver. The objective of this research was to characterize the endocrine-metabolic and anthropometric profile in a group of patients diagnosed with PCOS. The population consisted of 81 patients who attended the gynecologic clinic of the Urban Outpatient Type II "Dr. Ramón Gualdrón"from Barquisimeto-Lara State, of which only 50 patients met the criteria of the 2003 Rotterdam Consensus for the diagnosis of PCOS. According to the results of this study, the endocrine profile of the patients is characterized by normal levels of progesterone and free testosterone and insulin in the normal upper range; lipid profile within normal parameters as well as average values of uric acid; the HOMA Index indicated insulin resistance. Regarding the anthropometric profile, the patients were mostly overweight with a waist/hip index indicativeof an android type fatty distribution. In conclusion, the endocrine-metabolic and anthropometric profile observed corresponds to SOP, in which the state of insulin resistance shown by the HOMA index constitute the central pathophysiological axis.

Abstract
On June 14 of this year, the Director of the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) Carissa F. Etienne met with the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela with the objective of seeking "joint strategies to preserve the health of the Venezuelans ". Abstract
Dengue is a viral disease that depends on interactions between environment, agent, population of hosts and vector, as well as socioeconomic, political, technical and administrative determinants. The article aims to describe the prevalence of dengue for the period 2005 to 2015 in the Lagunillas parish of the municipality of Sucre, Mérida, Venezuela. Methodology: quantitative approach, descriptive type and non-experimental longitudinal design. Results: 2947 cases of dengue were found between the years under study. The presence of dengue with signs of alarm was recorded in the last three years of the study period and for severe dengue, the highest incidence occurred in 2010 with 1,085 cases / 100,000 inhabitants, the standardized prevalence rate: 2005 13/1000 inhabitants, by 2010 28/1000 inhabitants and 2015 of 8/1000 inhabitants and the projection (2016-2025) of the cases of dengue, a relation was obtained directly proportional in the time series, as Years increase the casuistry of the disease. Conclusions: The Lagunillas parish of Mérida state presents a high prevalence of dengue, being classified as an epidemic zone. It was determined that in the years 2013-2015 the dengue with signs of alarm, has suffered an increase in its incidence, although it has not been determined the cause, it is very probable that local environmental phenomena, such as the water deficit, as well as the social context , May translate into an increase in the density of the dengue transmitter vector and an increase in the reporting of dengue cases.

Since its discovery and identification in gastric tissue by Marshall and Warren in 1983, our knowledge about the effects of Helicobacter pylori infection has grown considerably. Its role in the multifactorial pathology of peptic ulcer disease (gastroduodenal ulcer disease), gastric adenocarcinoma, is now widely accepted. Currently, numerous antibiotic-based therapies are available. However, these therapies have several problems, including the appearance of resistance to the antibiotics used and associated adverse effects, the risk of re-infection and the high cost of treatment. Abstract
In order to determine the prevalence of Burnout Syndrome, occupational risk to develop it in the health personnel and the user's opinion about on medical attention, a descriptive cross-sectional study was carried out in San Francisco's Type I Ambulatory. The sample consisted of 17 workers and 120 users. Two instruments were used to collect data addressed to health personnel: ISTAS questionnaire (CoPsoQ) 2000 short version and Maslach Burnout Inventory and a third questionnaire to users that measured opinion about medical care. For Psychosocial Risk in the staff, a favorable level was found in the categories active work and self-development possibilities with 88.2% as well as a social support and quality of leadership of 64.7%; the unfavorable level was presented in the categories insecurity 58.8%, double presence 47% and estimated 47%. Likewise, it was highlighted that no worker presented Burnout syndrome since the dimensions of personalization and depersonalization with 88.2% were located at a low level. In turn, 90.9% of the users felt totally satisfied with the medical care, deducting that the factors that contributed to feelings of exhaustion or stress did not influence the quality of care provided in the premises. This served to project new studies and make new references regarding the Burnout syndrome and its scope, giving the pertinent recommendations, both to the community and to the ambulatory staff to reduce the risks of developing the disease.

Abstract
The rate of deterioration of fish and its safety are related to the hygienic management of the fish and its conditioning,consuming poorly cooked or raw fish can lead to food poisoning, hepatitis, cholera and parasitism. The dishesregularlyinvolved include sushi, sashimi and ceviche. The parasitic disease is caused by the larval phases of anematode of the family Anisakidae. The parasite develops as an adult in marine mammals that acquire the diseasethanks to the infective L3 form developed in fish. The human consumes poorly cooked fish and acquires L3 larva,causing gastric, intestinal and extraintestinal disease or a gastro-allergic modality. Fourty - five specimens ofMugilcephalus purchased in popular markets, refrigerators and stalls in the city of Barquisimeto were studied.Through the visual inspection we evaluated the freshness index and through microbiological analysis we detectedsanitary indicators, fecal contamination and pathogens. A recount of the larvae extracted during the visual inspectionand during in vitro digestion, the results indicate that the freshness of the specimens was 8.36 ± 3.28 points.Staphylococcus aureus appeared in 64.7% of the samples. The 82.2% of the specimens showed parasitism, with anaverage of 24.48 larvae per specimen. Microscopic examination of the parasites present structures that coincide withthe genus Anisakis. These larvae are foodborne, so that in the face of symptoms and history of consumption of theseproducts,its important to consider these parasites as etiological agentsof these diseases.

Abstract
In order to develop intelligent traps as vector control mechanisms for the prevention and reduction of metaxenic diseases, a physiological parameter is determined as the wingbeat frequency used for later characterization by genus of the Aedes aegypti mosquito in Venezuelan strains. For this, acoustic records were made with wild samples collected in rainwater reservoirs and emerged under controlled conditions in the laboratory. The recordings were made during one minute, in more than a hundred mosquitoes of this species and in both sexes, using a particle speed microphone connected to the audio input of a portable computer and a specialized program for acoustic records. A spectral analysis of the samples was carried out, determining that the average fundamental frequency of flutter for females corresponded to 454.78 ± 55.19 Hz and for males 688.39 ± 40.82 Hz, concluding that the groups were very separated in Its fundamental frequency, with which this parameter is a characteristic that can be used for the detection and classification of mosquitoes of this species, using artificial intelligence in capture devices for vector monitoring and control.

Abstract
Dengue es una de las arbovirosis más importantes en el mundo en términos de morbi-mortalidad. En América, destaca Venezuela donde son afectados niños, mujeres y hombres, en todos sus estados, en particular Lara, en el cual se desarrolló una investigación para determinar los factores de riesgo de dengue en cuatro parroquias del municipio Juan Guillermo Iribarren del estado en el año 2006. La muestra quedó constituida por 516 viviendas, se aplicó un cuestionario a los jefes de familia o persona mayor de edad de la vivienda seleccionada. Entre los resultados: la prevalencia de dengue fue 11,4% (IC95%:8,59 -14,23), en el grupo de edad de 1-29 años, 43,4% tuvo dengue (ORa =21, IC95%:10,7- 41,1), en el género femenino 15,3% fue afectado (ORa=1,9, IC95%: 0,9-3,5). Entre quienes desconocían sobre la transmisión de dengue, 13.3% lo padecieron (ORa=1,48, IC95%: 0,7-2,9). Abstract
Los reportes epidemiológicos periódicos en Salud Publica son fundamentales para el buen desempeño de los sistemas de salud en un país. Los programas, planes de salud y la respectiva atención y resolución de estos problemas sanitarios ameritan de sistemas de información confiables y emitidos de forma periódica, continua y completa. Recientemente fue publicado en la página Web oficial del Ministerio del Poder Popular para la Salud, los Boletines Epidemiológicos Semanales de las 25 últimas semanas del año 2015 y de las 52 semanas del 2016, con una mora de casi dos años. En ellos llama la atención un aumento de la mortalidad materna del 2014 al 2015 del 15%, así como la aparición de 324 casos de difteria, reportados en el Boletín Epidemiológico Semanal número 52, patología no reportada en Boletines anteriores hasta el 2012. Abstract
A descriptive transversal investigation was conducted with the aim of evaluating the exposure to psycho-social risks in a stratified sample of 556 workers of the main areas of economic activities in Lara State, Venezuela. The questionnaire for evaluation of psychosocial risk in the workplace (ISTAS) was applied for the identification and measurement of exposure of workers to psychosocial demands related to claims about labor and control over job content. The results indicate that the proportion of workers exposed to situations most unfavourable to health is low (9% to 27%) prevailing dimensions of double presence and psychological demands. The rate exposure for intermediate situations is relatively high (55% to 69%) in the psychological demands dimension, active work, skill development and also compensation. Workers with higher exposures are those belonging to financial, insurance and real estate industries, shops, restaurants and hotels. The results from this study suggest that the workers whose activity involves customer interactions are exposed to higher psychological (cognitive and emotional) demands and they are limited to make decisions about their tasks, have almost no chance of skill development or control over their working time. Workers under community, social and personal service activities perceive that compensations received (stability and esteem) are not in accordance with their efforts. Social support and leadership was the dimension perceived as the most favorable for the health of all workers.

Abstract
The objectives of this work were the identification of a triatomine captured within a home located at 9 ° 17'2 "LN and 70 ° 25¨49" LO in the capital city of Trujillo State and the characterization of an entomopathogenic fungus found on the Integument and articulations of the captured specimen. For the isolation of the entomopathogen the insect was placed in a humid chamber for four days for a greater sporulation and for the development and isolation was used potato, Dextrose, Agar (PDA) culture medium. On the basis of the morphological characteristics of the specimen studied, these correspond to Rhodnius pictipes according to the pictorial key of triatomines (Hemiptera: Triatominae) from Venezuela. No eggs or nymphs were found inside the house to discuss possible colonization. As for the fungus, this was characterized as Beauveriabassiana whose characteristics are more noticeable its pattern of development of white color, turning to a yellowish coloration on the back of the plates, with conidiogenic globose to sub globose cells. In this work, we refer for the first time to the state Trujillo, Venezuela the invasion of Rhodnius pictipes to a house and its infestation with the entomopatógeno Beauveria bassiana.

Abstract
Obesity has become a serious health problem worldwide, being an independent risk factor for cardiovascular disease. In that sense, to evaluate the frequency of cardiac geometric alterations in obese patients with or without metabolic syndrome and other CV risk factors, a study was performed in 28 obese participants and 13 non-obese who went voluntarily to the Clinical Pharmacology Unit of the Dean of Health Sciences of UCLA who were given a questionnaire to determine other CV risk factors and had the following tests: triglycerides , Total and fractionated cholesterol, creatinine, fasting glycemia and insulin using the ELISA technique, and a transthoracic echocardiogram. The obese, sedentary population as a whole, showed significantly higher values in the dimensions of the interventricular septum (SVI), posterior wall of the left ventricle (PPVI), and left atrial diameter (AI); 25% of the obese population presented concentric remodeling and 4% had eccentric hypertrophy. 32.14% of the obese presented metabolic syndrome, 64.29% dyslipidemia, 21% arterial hypertension and 28.57% smoking habits. Abstract
Depression occupies one of the first places as a reason for consultation in psychiatry, with university students being one of the groups most affected. The objective of this investigation was to determine the frequency of depression and associated risk factors in students from the first to the eighth semester in a UCLA Deanery January-May 2013. A cross-sectional, observational analytical study was carried out, In 230 students, 149 females and 81 males. Data collection included a self-administered questionnaire for the measurement of risk factors, validated by experts, and the Beck Depression Inventory of 21 items. It was evidenced that there are 22.6% of depressed students, of whom 20.0% correspond to mild depression and 2.6% to moderate depression. There was a higher frequency of depression in the female sex (25.3%); In students over 20 years old (24.2%); In foreigners (28.1%); In students from the III and VII semesters (29.4% and 34.8%, respectively). In students with regular academic performance, 36.2% (p = 0.0001) of depression was observed; In those who do not share quality time with their family, 50% were evidenced (p = 0.0000); 44.4% (p = 0.000) and 50% (p = 0.007), respectively. Likewise, there is a 35.7% depression rate in students who have poor teacher-student relationships (p = 0.0007), with no respect (p = 0.021) and equity (p = 0.003). Likewise, 28.9% of students with depression have a poor relationship with their classmates. In conclusion, there is a significant percentage of depressed students, mild depression prevailing in them, however, non-depressed students present some risk factors. Abstract
The organizational climate of health institutions is affected by many factors, such as leadership style, the level of motivation that exists, the way decisions are made and especially the type of communication that predominates. Internal communication is a real response to growing organizational complexity, however; the tendency is to recognize dialogic communication as a dimension and as a tool to achieve effectiveness in the organizational plan of the health institution. This is designated as internal communication version 2.0, which is the second generation of communication, in which the recognition of the interlocutor predominates. In this article, internal communication and the organizational climate in the management of health institutions were analyzed through a review of publications that discuss these issues. As inclusion criteria were used thematic coherence, timeliness of the source and indexation of the same. Consultation of the primary sources was done using databases. It was concluded that management combined with organizational climate and communication allow the interaction between its members, exchange and dialogue, in order to guide the processes that determine the behavior of the collective and the health organization.

Abstract
Intestinal parasitosis are widely distributed in the world, constituting a public health problem. To evaluate whether the geographical and ecological conditions of the island municipality Almirante Padilla of Zulia State influence the prevalence of intestinal parasitosis of its inhabitants, 87 fecal samples corresponding to individuals of any age and sex were analyzed. Each sample was subjected to direct coproparasitological methods (SSF 0.85% and lugol), formalin-ether concentration method (Ritchie), Kinyoun stain and agar plate technique (Arakaki) for recovery and diagnosis Strongyloides stercoralis larvae. The prevalence of intestinal parasites in the study population was 50.57% (44/87), which prevailed monoparasitism with 52.27% (23/44). Among the parasitized individuals, 29.89% (26/87) of cases corresponded to Chromista Blastocystis sp., followed by Entamoeba complex (13.79%), Endolimax nana (13.79%) and Ascaris lumbricoides (13,79%). Abstract
The complex of organisms that inhabit the intestine and which includes a large number of bacteria, fungi, yeasts, viruses and phage is known as Intestinal Microbiota (MI). The balance between the MI, the epithelial barrier and the local immune system determines intestinal homeostasis in the healthy subject. MI is important in regulating the rescue and energy expenditure, as well as in fat storage and food intake in the host. Due to the increasing impact of metabolic disorders in society, the need to compile, summarize and analyze the most relevant bibliography on recent advances in the understanding of the intestinal microbiota and its possible relationship with these disorders. Investigations with experimental rodent models suggest that the bacterial composition, functional genes and metabolic activities of IM are altered in subjects with obesity, metabolic syndrome or type 2 diabetes (DT2). In addition, it appears that dietary fat is also an important factor affecting the composition of MI, as well as the barrier function of the intestine and therefore, plasma levels of LPS, producing a metabolic endotoxemia that could contribute to the development low-grade systemic inflammation, insulin resistance and DT2. Finally, recent research in rodents indicates that there is a relationship between MI and the pathogenesis of obesity, metabolic syndrome and even DT2.

The following essay is a discussion about the possibility of conceptualizing health from disability; to do a review on current notions of health and disability was performed. The concept of health has gone through a continuous process of signification which reached its turning point in 1948, the definition adopted by the World Health Organization. Abstract
A descriptive, cross sectional study was carried out to examine the enteroparasite contamination of 300 banknotes of the six denominations that circulate in the Barquisimeto-Cabudare urban axis (2,5,10,20,50 and 100 BsF), through the washing of each with 100 ml of water with 20% Tween 20 for 5 minutes each side and with the aid of a sterile brush, this volume was placed in two, plastic centrifuge tubes (clean) allowed to decant for two hours , Then centrifuged at 3000 rpm for 10 minutes to observe the pellet with saline and lugol with 100X and 400X magnification. An abundance of enteroparasites was obtained in contaminated banknotes of 29% (87/300), with a diversity of four taxa. Blastocystis sp. (68 of 87 contaminated), Endolimax nana (16/87), Giardia sp. (2/87) and Entamoeba coli (1/87); Banknotes with less denomination were more contaminated than those with the highest denomination and 96,6% of the contaminated banknotes were dirty, while only 3,4% of the contaminated banknotes were clean or new banknotes. No helminth eggs were observed. It is concluded that tickets in this area are an important element (fomites) in the direct transmission of intestinal protozoa from one person to another.

Abstract
The objective of this research focused on the design of a psychoeducational program to promote the role of the teacher as a mentor and promoter of child and adolescent mental health Estadal Basic School "Julio Teodoro Arze" of the Conception Parish Barquisimeto, Lara State. Its main purpose was to contribute to the formation of human beings I integrate mental health, able to live harmoniously in society. It was based on theoretical research and theories that support the teacher's role as counselor and promoting mental health. Methodologically, this study was framed in the modality of feasible project, contentivo of the first three phases, supported by field research of a descriptive nature. With a population of 22 teachers who were applied an instrument that measured the need for training in their role as mentor and promoter of the mental health of the child and adolescent population; it was validated by expert opinion and its reliability was established by Alfha and Cronbach reliability coefficient Kuder - Richardson obtaining high reliability. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results showed the need for a psychoeducational program to promote the role of the teacher as a mentor and promoter of mental health. The other phases of the study determined the market feasibility, technical and financial as well as program design. Finally the conclusions that led response to the objectives and recommendations for the use of the program were developed.

Abstract
The object of the present work of documentary and bibliographic research is to reconstruct the academic and administrative process carried out by Jose Maria Vargas at the Central University in Caracas during the period 1827-1829 upon the implementation of the Decree on the reorganization of this University signed by Simón Bolívar on June 24, 1827. In this set of changes, the creation of the Anatomy Chair at the university is examined as part of the curriculum reform for the formation of the doctor. The importance of the Chair is emphasized because it constituted the essential unit that organized the university teaching work to grant the academic degrees of Senior, Bachelor, Master and Doctor in the professions of Medicine, Laws and Theology by then. In this order of ideas, aspects of the University reform including the issue of public health are identified as part of the preparation of the doctor. Written evidence is left of this documentary review about the projection and scope of the lectures conducted by Vargas when showing partial data of his disciples and with them cognitive and social institutionalization of Medicine in Venezuela during the nineteenth century.

Abstract
Granulomatous amoebic encephalitis is an infrequent clinical entity, usually present in immunocompromised persons, where the few cases reported in the literature are due to infections by free-living amoebas present throughout the world, standing out as the most common agents, the Acanthamoeba sp. and Balamuthia mandrillaris. It is characterized by an insidious clinical course, that can be prolonged, but equally fatal. The clinic corresponds to that of intracerebral space occupying lesions, with seizures and focal deficits such as hemiparesis and cranial nerve lesions. Alterations of the sensorium, headache and neck stiffness are equally common, however, fever is usually sporadic and low grade. Occasionally there are pictures of pneumonitis, kidney or liver failure and sepsis.

Abstract
n 1578, twenty-five years after the city of Nueva Segovia de Barquisimeto was founded, the first sick care center was created in Lara State and Venezuela, which were attended by slaves, this sick shelter was called "Hospital de Santiago" organized by the Spanish conquerors and promoted by the Cleric Pedro del Castillo, it would later be called "Hospital of San Lazaro" that would prevail between 1812 and 1837. Then the "Hospital de La Caridad" was inaugurated in 1918 (Figures 1, 2 and 3) by its main promoter, Dr. Antonio María Pineda, built on the "solar or patio" where the former San Lázaro Hospital (1,2,3), on Obispo Street, (currently Carrera 15 between streets) 25 and 26 of Barquisimeto, Lara State, Venezuela), operating there until 1954, when it would move to its current headquarters north of Avenida Vargas de Barquisimeto, being for this moment the best hospital structure of Venezuela (Figure 4). The Director of the Hospital La Caridad, brought the sisters of La Caridad (Sisters of St. Joseph of Tarbes), who promoted the charity bazaars, organized by the Daughters of Charity Society, which Dr. Pineda himself trained in Barquisimeto, Cabudare , Quibor, Siquisique, Bobare, Yaritagua and Río Claro (Lara and Yaracuy states), where Las Daughters of La Caridad, not only collected money, but all kinds of objects that were raffled, highlighting especially an activity for the benefit of the Hospital carried out in the old Teatro Juárez (Barquisimeto, Venezuela), on April 19, 1918 (declared charity day) (1,2,3).

Abstract
Dengue is an acute febrile disease caused by four dengue virus (DENV) serotypes whose prevalence in the Americas has quintupled between 2003 and 2013. The immune response against the infection with dengue virus involves cellular and humoral factors. We performed an observational and cross-sectional study to evaluate the levels of interleukins of the innate immune response (IL-8, TNFα), TH1 response (IFNγ), TH2 (IL-13) and regulatory (IL-10) in serum of patients during the acute phase of infection with the DENV1, DENV3 and DENV4 serotypes.
