Abstract

EuCAP 2016 - 10th European Conference on Antennas and Propagation, Davos, SUISSE, 10-/04/2016 - 15/04/2016; With Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) getting always more sophisticated, the related Virtual Prototyping platforms have to propose a very high level of accuracy with improved flexibility regarding vehicles, sensors, environments and scenarios. In this paper a new strategy is introduced for RADAR sensors modeling aimed at allowing high accuracy while limiting the related development efforts.

Abstract

International audience; Traffic congestion in large cities became a huge problem, which can lead to a lot of losses especially at the human and material levels. This paper proposes a decentralized model based on multi-agent systems (MAS) and complex event processing (CEP). The new control scheme aims to improve green light time in order to reduce the average waiting time of vehicles in front of the traffic light, especially if the road is empty, and to reduce congestion at crossroad. This improvement is provided by the observation of the intersection through Cyber Physical Systems (CPS). This paper propose an auto-adaptive model for smart regulation traffic lights. The developed model will be evaluated and analyzed using different metrics and scenarios so as to test their influence on system performance.

Abstract

Caching appears to be an efficient way to reduce peak hour network traffic congestion by storing some content at the user's cache without knowledge of later demands. Recently, Maddah-Ali and Niesen proposed a two-phase, placement and delivery phase, coded caching strategy for centralized systems (where coordination among users is possible in the placement phase), and for decentralized systems. This paper investigates the same setup under the further assumption that the number of users is larger than the number of files. By using the same uncoded placement strategy of Maddah-Ali and Niesen, a novel coded delivery strategy is proposed to profit from the multicasting opportunities that arise because a file may be demanded by multiple users. The proposed delivery method is proved to be optimal under the constraint of uncoded placement for centralized systems with two files, moreover it is shown to outperform known caching strategies for both centralized and decentralized systems.
