João Canavilhas, (Ph.D, Universidad de Salamanca) is associate professor at the Universidade da Beira Interior (Covilhã – PORTUGAL) and researcher at Labcom – Communication and Arts. is the author or co-author of 10 books, about 40 chapter books and 50 papers in national and international scientific journals.  His research work focuses on various aspects of communication and new Technologies, particularly in the field of journalism (online, portable devices, artificial intelligence, disinformation) and social networks.
