My research interests are on the land subsidence process due to groundwater withdrawal and its effects on the constructions, mainly those effects related to ground fractures and faults generation. My research work is addressed to obtain data for mitigating and to prevent the effects of ground cracks using geophysical methods and numerical simulation. I am currently working on a methodology to get more reliable geomechanical properties as input for numerical simulation of the process of land subsidence.
In Addition, I collaborate in research on the application of NDT to the characterization of materials and constructive systems of heritage buildings.
