About me

I hold PhD degree in Statistics with specialization in Survey Sampling. I completed my PhD in 2014 from National College of Business Administration and Economics, Lahore, Pakistan, under the supervision of Dr. Muhammad Hanif, a well-known academician in the field of Survey Sampling. I have over 11 years of post-PhD experience in teaching and research at undergraduate and postgraduate level. I am working as Assistant Professor on Tenure Track basis in the Department of Statistics, University of Malakand, Pakistan, since January 22, 2020, and have successfully passed my mid-term review. Before joining the University of Malakand, I worked as Assistant Professor on contract basis in Islamia College Peshawar, Pakistan, from 20/06/2014 to 31/12/2019. I have published 45 research papers in different national and international peer reviewed journals, with most of those papers published as first author and/or corresponding author. I am also working as a referee for different reputable journals. My research interests include Survey Sampling, Ratio Estimation, Systematic Sampling, Randomized Response Models, Probability Distributions, Neutrosophic Statistics, and Applied Statistics. Besides teaching and research, I have also been contributing to the university as member of various academic committees. I worked as a member of the Board of Studies, Graduate Studies Committee (GSC), and the Departmental Semester Committee (DSC) of the department. I also worked as a program coordinator of MPhil / PhD (Statistics). Recently, the university awarded me a 12-month research project for fiscal year 2025-26. Further, I have been working as an approved PhD supervisor in the Department of Statistics since 20/10/2021.
