Alexander Aguila Tellez. - In 2005 he graduated as an Electrical Engineer from the University of Camagüey - Cuba. In 2010 he received his master's degree in Energy Efficiency, awarded by the University of Ciego de Ávila, Cuba. In 2019 he received his second master's degree in Engineering, awarded by the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana, Medellín – Colombia, where he has also collaborated as a researcher in several scientific projects. He received his PhD's degree in Engineering in the aforementioned university in Colombia in 2021. Over the last seven years, he has worked as a professor and researcher at the Universidad Politécnica Salesiana in Ecuador, where he has conducted several electrical engineering courses and supervised some master theses. At present, he is the Director of the Department of Electrical Engineering of this university. He is a member of the research group on smart electrical grids (GIREI) and a member of the Colombian research program “Energética 2030”. He has taken part in several prestigious international conferences and events, where he has collaborated as an exhibitor and committee member. He has published more than 20 high-impact international papers indexed in Scopus and Web of Science and he has also been a reviewer of various scientific papers. He has work experience in electrical network design companies. His major research interests include fault diagnosis on electrical distribution systems, smart grids, Volt – Var control, minimizing power losses, renewable energy systems and energetic efficiency.
