The INTRAS project (INequalities in TRAffic Safety) is the first Belgian study to investigate the influence of socio-economic and cultural factors in traffic accident involvement and its underlying behavior. Within this project, a full TpB-survey (Theory of Planned Behavior - Ajzen, 1991) focusing on the interplay between socio-economic, cultural factors and speeding was done using CAPI and the random-walk-method. The target -defined ethnic groups. The field work took place between September and December 2015. In total, 1,754 respondents took part (i.e., 250 per ethnic group). Results show a positive correlation (Spearman rho=.095) between educational level and self-reported respect of the speed limits. Respondents with a higher educational level report more often that they respect the speed limits. However, results of the binary logistic regression did not show any significant effects of the ethnic background of respondents on their self-declared respect of the speed limits.<br />
