This paper describes the current state of combined transport, and especially continental transport, in the Czech Republic, and aspects of its potential further development. The role of continental CT is particularly important in logistics chains, mainly in transporting palletised goods. V příspěvku byly popsány jak současná situace kombinované dopravy a zejména dopravy kontinentální v ČR a aspekty jejího dalšího možného rozvoje. Velmi významné je využití kontinentální KD v logistických řetězcích a to zejména při přepravě paletovaného zboží.<br />
