 Since both the reservoir level and the concrete temperature are influential in the dam displacements, and the latter is dependent on the initial temperature considered, we run a preliminary analysis to obtain a realistic thermal field to be used as initial temperature in the dam body. For that purpose, a transient analysis was run over the period analyzed (1999-2006) with a constant value of the initial temperature (8ºC) and a time step of 12 h.
