Por una parte, se aborda el espectáculo desde una perspectiva histórica, es decir, se expone su historia y las circunstancias que lo rodearon, la ficha artística, las decisiones del director, etc.; por otro, se realiza un trabajo analítico, esto es, se parte de los diferentes sistemas de signos que participan en la representación (texto literario y traducción; vestuario, escenografía e iluminación; música y sonido; y trabajo de los actores) para analizar la interpretación que ofrece Varnas de la obra de Calderón.<br /> The aim of this paper is to present and to analyze the representation of Calderón’s Life is a Dream by the Lithuanian director Gintaras Varnas (Lithuanian National Drama Theater, 2000).
