== Abstract ==&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
   The paper presents the results of a theoretical justification and an experimental research for a method to measure the stressed state of welded joints in the nuclear power plant (NPP) process components and circulation pipelines based on acoustoelasticity theory, as well as for ways to implement them technically. Devices for measuring the stressed state of welded joints in the NPP process components and circulation pipelines based on acoustoelasticity theory allow online measurement of residual stresses along the weld height and detection of crack formation points. The use of such devices will enable early crack detection in welded joints for an increased safety of the NPP operation.&lt;br /&gt;
