Is the correlation between social media and narcissism stronger within GenZ or Millennials?

This study examines the relationship between social media usage and narcissism among Generation Z and Millennials. By utilizing the Narcissistic Personality Inventory (NPI), we sought to determine whether there is a generational difference in narcissistic tendencies as influenced by social media. The results indicated no statistically significant difference between the narcissism scores of the two generations, challenging Twenge’s (2009) assertion that younger generations exhibit higher levels of narcissism. Both generations had an average score of 16/24 on the NPI test, which leans toward narcissistic tendencies. However, this study identified several limitations that may have influenced the findings, including the homogeneity of the sample population and the limitations of the NPI as a measurement tool.

When we think of languages, words that come to mind are often related to communication. Especially with knowing multiple languages, we think of amplifying relations with interpersonal communication. Yet, a problem exists with the lack of knowledge about bilingualism’s advantage besides these perceptions in globalized societies. This issue impacts monolinguals because of decreasing language education neglecting bilingualism’s increase of cognitive skills. Limited research on the benefits of bilingualism among adolescents exacerbates this problem, as existing studies often focus on infants and older adults, considering these age groups depict clear benefits without confounding variables. However, adolescents have the greatest adaptability for language acquisition, asserting suitability in measuring bilingualism before brain development hinders learning abilities in adulthood (Smith, 2018). The purpose of this study is to underscore the beneficial advantage bilingualism—specifically among adolescents—provides unconsciously daily, ultimately aiding to promote language education.

Participants (N=230) were randomly assigned to one of three conditions: curved MSR design, angular design, or a no-image control group. After viewing the stimulus, participants answered Likert-type scales that measured their perception of them. ANOVA tests revealed that perceived trust was unaffected by angularity, while perceived warmth approached significance (p = .06). Significant effects were found for preference (p = .02) and perceived threat (p = .04), with the curved MSR design being most preferred and the angular version perceived as most threatening. Additionally, gender was found to have a significant main effect for preference (p < .01), warmth (p = .04), and trust (p = .04) as males rated the robots higher than females.
La violencia en el noviazgo de manera digital y de manera personal que invade a los jóvenes en la actualidad

The topic addressed in this research was about dating violence, talking about it from the face-to-face point of view and the digital point, that is to say online in the love relationships of young people; specifically this research was applied for the LGCH19 group of the Technological University of Queretaro, in which there are a total of 32 students, of which nine of them are men and twenty-three women, students of the Bachelor's degree in human capital management. The main general objective of the present study was to make known the most common online and offline dating violence factors, from a theoretical analysis, so that more young people can identify it early. To achieve this objective it was necessary to find out if young people knew about the topic, although many of them said they knew about the topic of dating violence offline, most of them did not identify the issue of violence online or to some extent it is a topic that they had "normalized" within their social circle, or to which they simply did not pay the necessary attention or importance, so to speak. In addition to making known the factors of each of the types of violence: online, offline, physical, psychological, emotional; and how these can affect emotionally and therefore affect the student or work life of those who experience it.

Conductas Suicidas En Los Adolescentes, Y Su Relación Con Las Negligencias En El Autocuidado Y Los Comportamientos Temerarios

The adolescents by multiple characteristics of they age are the most prone population to suicide, this is a phenomenon that represents an estimated 800,000 deaths a year in the world. The objective of this review is analyze a representative number of recent research results on suicidal behaviors in adolescents and their relationship with negligence in self-care and reckless behavior. For this, a systematic review of the literature published in the last five years was carried out in databases such as: National Center for Biotechnology Information, Virtual Health Library, Pubmed Central, Mediclatina - Ebsco and Google Scholar. Among others, the main findings are that risky sexual practices, the consumption of alcoholics beverages, psychoactive substances and sedentary lifestyle are behaviors linked to impulsivity that generate an impact on physical and emotional health, which favor the development of self-destructive behaviors in teenagers. In conclusion, the review allowed showing a close relationship of reckless behaviors and negligence in self-care and suicidal behavior in adolescence, which facilitated grouping them into these categories.
