The dissipate structure exhibited by the systems considered is described in detail for the coupled thermoviscoplastic problem including phase change phenomena and extended to the frictional thermomechanical contact problem.</p>]]></description>

	<description><![CDATA[<p><span style="vertical-align: inherit;"><span style="vertical-align: inherit;">En el art&iacute;culo que se presenta, se muestra c&oacute;mo el ingl&eacute;s influye en diferentes campos disciplinarios. </span><span style="vertical-align: inherit;">Por lo tanto, en el caso de la educaci&oacute;n, este lenguaje ha llegado a penetrar en varios niveles de educaci&oacute;n formal e informal; </span><span style="vertical-align: inherit;">La educaci&oacute;n superior, as&iacute; como los maestros y futuros maestros, ya que muchos de los nuevos profesionales de la educaci&oacute;n deben adaptar el ingl&eacute;s a sus discursos pedag&oacute;gicos y sus pr&aacute;cticas. </span><span style="vertical-align: inherit;">Este estudio, en el que se bas&oacute; este art&iacute;culo, utiliza un dise&ntilde;o cualitativo y un enfoque hermen&eacute;utico. </span><span style="vertical-align: inherit;">Sin embargo, a pesar de tener una perspectiva intersubjetiva, se implementaron t&eacute;cnicas de recolecci&oacute;n de datos cuantitativos y cuantitativos: talleres individuales, entrevistas semiestructuradas, grupos de discusi&oacute;n, observaciones no participantes y encuestas. </span><span style="vertical-align: inherit;">Adem&aacute;s, </span><span style="vertical-align: inherit;">La investigaci&oacute;n de la cual se deriv&oacute; la redacci&oacute;n de este art&iacute;culo se denomin&oacute; Formaci&oacute;n pedag&oacute;gica de profesionales en educaci&oacute;n infantil temprana y su relaci&oacute;n con la did&aacute;ctica en un contexto internacional, en el que participaron: Universidad Cat&oacute;lica Luis Amig&oacute; de Medell&iacute;n, Universidad del Maule de Chile y La Red. 	<description><![CDATA[<p>The present research work arises with the purpose of identifying the contributions of collective intelligence in Virtual and Distance Education, in students of the Minuto de Dios University Corporation. It presents a theoretical foundation based on post-development, critical pedagogy, cyberculture and collective intelligence. The study is qualitative descriptive and was carried out from the methodological strategy of the systematization of experiences, taking into account three guiding categories: challenges of the digital culture; support networks; significant experiences The results emphasize the autonomous, collaborative work and the configuration of virtual communities that recognize intercultural and intergenerational knowledge exchanges.</p>]]></description>

	<description><![CDATA[<p>A partir de la inmersi&oacute;n de la instituci&oacute;n Caja de Compensaci&oacute;n Familiar Comfenalco Santander seccional Bucaramanga, donde mantienen una unidad de intermediaci&oacute;n para el empleo se efect&uacute;a un an&aacute;lisis con el prop&oacute;sito de formular una propuesta que mejore el proceso que hace la instituci&oacute;n entre solicitantes de empleo y las empresas que ofrecen vacantes. Para lograr este objetivo se realiz&oacute; una encuesta a funcionarios encargados de cada uno de las etapas del procedimiento conocido internamente como ruta de empleabilidad, y con esta informaci&oacute;n se construyen estad&iacute;sticas de eficacia de los procesos y se identifican oportunidades de mejora. 	<description><![CDATA[<p>The book chapter is a contribution to education and is based on the development of didactic materials for the social transformation of children, youth and adolescents (NNJA) from the teaching-learning of Chemistry. Thus, they were taught to prepare materials, prepare organic fertilizers, and implement hydroponic crops with a view to solving real problems in everyday life from the teaching-learning of Chemistry, made with apprentices of the Atlantic Regional Seine. Practical work was carried out in the elaboration of organic fertilizers with a view to strengthening the culture on care and conservation of the environment, in which they are immersed. Likewise, a socio-demographic diagnostic assessment is made where it is detected that these children, youth and adolescents live in vulnerable sectors, with low economic resources from their family income and a medium level of malnutrition. An educational project of social transformation is implemented in this vulnerable population that have been trained with transmission processes in schools, affecting in large part the social growth of these families. In conclusion, a creative and dynamic pedagogical work was observed by the apprentices of the Technical Secondary Education offered by the SENA National Learning Service in the educational institutions of the department of Atl&aacute;ntico, taking as an example in the lower grades of the school environments, and it is clear that it is a didactic alternative that can be used in education through the teaching-learning processes of chemistry. 	<title><![CDATA[Simulación numérica del comportamiento no lineal de presas de hormigón ante acciones sísmicas]]></title>
	<description><![CDATA[<p>Desde una perspectiva metodol&oacute;gica general, el presente estudio pretende desarrollar una herramienta basada en la utilizaci&oacute;n del dise&ntilde;o asistido por ordenador para el an&aacute;lisis num&eacute;rico del comportamiento resistente de presas de hormig&oacute;n, a la vez que una metodolog&iacute;a de aplicaci&oacute;n de la misma para el an&aacute;lisis de seguridad de las presas. Para este prop&oacute;sito, se ha intentado desarrollar un sistema gen&eacute;rico, modular y unificador, que permita tener en cuenta los m&aacute;s diversos factores como el comportamiento no-lineal del material, la interacci&oacute;n con el terreno y el fluido del embalse, la acci&oacute;n de cargas est&aacute;ticas y din&aacute;micas o la excitaci&oacute;n s&iacute;smica.</p>]]></description>

	<title><![CDATA[Análisis estructural de edificios históricos mediante modelos localizados de fisuración]]></title>

capaz de estudiar el comportamiento estructural de edificios hist&oacute;ricos de obra de f&aacute;brica.<br />

	<title><![CDATA[An overlay J2 viscoelastic viscoplastic viscodamage model for stable shear localization problems]]></title>
	<description><![CDATA[<p>This work formulates a relatively simple isotropic local Overlay J2-Viscoelastic-Viscoplastic-Viscodamage constitutive model&nbsp; (O-J2-VVV) which encompasses the merits of both the plastic and continuum damage formulations.</p><p>The plastic component of the model account for inelastic permanent<br />
strains, while the damage component account for loss of stiffness. The plas- tic and damage<br />
softening moduli are regularized according to the material mode II fracture energy and the element<br />
size. The Orthogonal SubGrid Stabilization Method (OSGS ) is used to ensure existance and uniquess<br />
of the solution for strain shear strain localization processes, attaining global and local<br />
stability of the corresponding discrete finite element formulation. Consistent residual viscosity<br />
is used to enhance robustness and convergence of the formulation. Numerical examples show that the<br />
formulation derived is versatily, fully stable and remarkably robust, The solutions obtained are<br />
completely mesh independent, unlike those obtained with the ill-posed<br />
standard approaches.</p><p>&nbsp;</p>]]></description>

	<title><![CDATA[A mixed Finite Element formulation for incompressibility using linear displacement and pressure interpolations]]></title>
	<description><![CDATA[<p>In this work shall be presented a stabilized finite element method to deal with incompressibility<br />
in solid mechanics. A mixed formulation involving pressure and displacement fields<br />
is used and a continuous linear interpolation is considered for both fields. To overcome<br />
the Ladyzhenskaya-Babuska-Brezzi condition, a stabilization technique based on the orthogonal<br />
sub-grid scale method is introduced. The main advantage of the method is the<br />
possibility of using linear triangular finite elements, which are easy to generate for real<br />
industrial applications. Results are compared with several improved formulations, as the<br />
enhanced assumed strain method (EAS) and the Q1P0-formulation, in nearly incompressible<br />
problems and in the context of linear elasticity and J2-plasticity.</p>]]></description>

	<title><![CDATA[Computational fluid dynamics indicators to improve cardiovascular pathologies diagnosis]]></title>
	<description><![CDATA[<p>In recent years, the study of computational hemodynamics within anatomically complex vascular regions has generated great interest among clinicians. The progress in computational fluid dynamics, image processing and high-performance computing have allowed us to identify the candidate vascular regions for the appearance of cardiovascular diseases and to predict how this disease may evolve. In this monograph we attempt to introduce into medicine the computational predictive paradigm that has been used in engineering for many years. Several groups have tried to create predictive models for cardiovascular pathologies, but they have not yet begun to use them in clinical practice. Our final aim is to go further and obtain predictive variables to be used in the clinical field.<br /><br />
We try to predict the evolution of aortic abdominal aneurysm, aortic coarctation and coronary artery disease in a personalized way for each patient. We propose diagnostic indicators that can improve the diagnosis and predict the evolution of the disease more efficiently than the methods used until now. In particular, a new methodology for computing diagnostic indicators based on computational hemodynamics and medical imaging is proposed. We have worked with data of anonymous patients to create real predictive technology that will allow us to continue advancing in personalized medicine and generate a more sustainable health systems. The objective of this monograph is therefore to develop predictive models for cardiovascular pathologies by merging medical imaging and computational techniques at a clinical level.<br /><br />
It is expected in the near future that larger databases of patient-specific computational models will be available to doctors. These data can be used with predictive models to improve diagnosis and to define personalized therapies and treatments.</p>]]></description>

	<title><![CDATA[On the Computational Modeling and Numerical Simulation of FSW Processes]]></title>
	<description><![CDATA[<p>This paper deals with the computational modeling and numerical simulation of the material flow around the probe tool in a Friction Stir Welding (FSW) process. Within the paradigmatic framework of the multiscale stabilization methods, suitable subgrid scale stabilized coupled thermomechanical formulations have been developed using an Eulerian description. Norton-Hoff and Sheppard-Wright thermo-rigid-viscoplastic constitutive material models have been considered. Constitutive equations for the subgrid scale models have been proposed and an approximation of the subgrid scale variables has been given. In particular Algebraic Subgrid Scale (ASGS) and Orthogonal Subgrid Scale (OSGS) methods for P1/P1/P1 linear elements have been considered. Furthermore, it has been shown that well known classical stabilized formulations, such as the Galerkin Least-Squares (GLS) or Streamline Upwind/Petrov-Galerkin (SUPG) methods, can be recovered as particular cases of the multiscale stabilization framework considered.<br />
Within the framework of a product formula algorithm, the resulting algebraic system of equations has been solved using a staggered procedure, in which a mechanical problem, defined by the plastic strain rate incompressibility equation and the quasi-static linear momentum balance equation, is solved at a constant temperature and a thermal problem, defined by the energy balance equation, is solved keeping constant the mechanical variables.<br />
The computational model has been implemented in the in-house developed FE software COMET. An assessment of the influence of the thermal deformation in the formulation has been carried out. Results obtained show that the influence of the thermal deformation is very small and can be neglected, getting a fully incompressible formulation.<br />
Finally, the computational model implemented in COMET has been validated through a number of examples, including a 3D numerical simulation of a FSW process. Numerical results obtained have been compared with experimental results available in the literature. A good agreement on the temperature distribution has been obtained and predicted peak temperatures compare well, both in value and position, with the experimental results available.</p>]]></description>
