Abstract

The paper addresses the problem of the reconstruction and allocation of delivery positions in the urban area. The aim is to achieve the optimal reorganization of urban freight transport in old town core in the municipality of Celje. Optimal allocation relies on optimization based on the Monte Carlo simulation and represents a first stage of a two-stage optimization approach to re-design the existing urban freight transport. The number of optimal delivery positions is required to be as minimal as possible, which can still assure a maximal service area within the prescribed radius, while keeping the minimal walking distances of delivery personnel between the nearest delivery position and the customerʼs physical location. The main issues of the used heuristic allocation algorithm and the presentation of calculated results are provided. In the near future, the calculated delivery positions are going to be used for the purpose of physical implementation in order to improve the existing delivery transport. Der Artikel behandelt das Problem der Wiederaufbau und Allokation von den Lieferung Positionen in einem städtischen Gebiet. Der Zweck ist die optimale Reorganisation des städtischen Güterverkehrs im alten Stadtkern in der Gemeinde Celje zu Erreichen. Die optimale Allokation basiert auf der Optimierung auf Basis der Monte-Carlo-Simulationen und stellt die erste Stufe einer zweistufigen Optimierung Verfahren zur Re-Designs der bestehenden städtischen Güterverkehrs. Die Anzahl der optimalen Lieferpositionen sollte so wenig wie möglich sein, aber trotzdem einen maximalen Service-Bereich innerhalb des vorgeschriebenen Radius gewährleisten. Gleichzeitig sollte die Entfernung zwischen den nächstgelegenen Lieferpositionen und Kunden Positionen kleinstmöglich sein. Die wichtigsten Themen des verwendeten Heuristic Zuordnungsalgorithmus und die Darstellung der berechneten Ergebnisse sind gegeben. Die Standorte der berechneten Lieferung Positionen werden zum Zwecke der physikalischen Implementierung genutzt, um den bestehenden Güterverkehr zu verbessern. Document type: Article

Abstract

Logistics forwarder, as organizer and planner of coordination and integration of all the transport and logistics chains elements, uses adequate ways and methods in the process of planning and decision-making. One of these methods analysed in this paper, which could be used in optimisation of transport and logistics processes and activities of logistics forwarder, is the multicriteria optimisation method. Using that method, in this paper is suggested model of multicriteria optimisation of logistics forwarder activities. The suggested model of optimisation is justified in keeping with method principles of multicriteria optimization, which is included in operation research methods and it represents the process of multicriteria optimization of variants. Among many different processes of multicriteria optimization, PROMETHEE (Preference Ranking OrganizationMethod for Enrichment Evaluations) and Promcalc& Gaia V. 3.2., computer program of multicriteria programming, which is based on the mentioned process, were used. Logistički špediter, kao glavni organizator i planer koordiniranosti i integriranosti svih elemenata unutar transportnih i logističkih procesa koristi primjerene načine i metode planiranja i odlučivanja. Jedna od metoda koja može naći svoju primjenu u optimizaciji predmetnih transportnih logističkih procesa i djelatnosti logističkih špeditera, a koja je analizirana u ovoj raspravi je metoda višekriterijske optimizacije. Korištenjem te metode u ovoj raspravi je predložen model višekriterijske optimizacije aktivnosti logističkoga špeditera. Predloženi model osmišljen je u skladu s temeljnim principima metode višekriterijske optimizacije, koja spada u metode operacijskih istraživanja, a predstavlja postupak višekriterijskog rangiranja varijanti. Između više različitih postupaka višekriterijske optimizacije, korišten je postupak PROMETHEE (Preference Ranking Organization Method for Enrichment Evaluations) te računalni program višekriterijskog programiranja Promcalc & Gaia V 3.2., koji se temelji na navedenom postupku.

Abstract

The scientific monograph titled Logistics and Management – selected topics is the result of a bilateral project, lasting from 2013 to 2015 and titled “Preparation of a joint scientific monograph in the field of logistics and management issued at the Faculty of Logistics in Celje and the Maritime Faculty of Kotor”. The project was managed by Professor Maja Fošner, PhD, from the Faculty of Logistics at the University of Maribor, and Professor Veselin Draskovic, PdD, from the Maritime Faculty of Kotor, Montenegro. The main goal of the monograph is to give a comprehensive account of selected areas from the field of logistics and challenges in the development of logistics, such as risk management and supply chains, transport cost, competences in logistics, urban logistics, green logistics, seaport cooperation, logistics network optimisation, logistics in tourism, logistics in performance management, systemic logistics providers and solutions to problems of transportation task. Wishing to offer a comprehensive presentation of various areas in the field of logistics, the authors of the monograph contributions, who participated on the project (Maja Fošner, Bojan Rosi, Borut Jereb, Marjan Sternad, Veselin Draskovic (ed.), Mimo Draskovic, Sanja Bauk, Senka Sekulac-Ivosevic), invited to cooperation also other researchers from the Faculty of Logistics and the Maritime Faculty of Kotor (Irena Gorenak, Matjaž Knez, Matevž Obrecht, Sonja Mlaker Kač, Tina Cvahte, Darja Topolsek, Drago Pupavac, Zeljko Ivanovic, Oleksandr Dorokhov, and Ludmila Malyaretz) who enriched the present monograph with their contributions. The monograph is aimed at professional public and anyone interested in the field of logistics. It should also serve as a useful aid in the study of logistics.

"jats:p" We provide several examples showing that local search, the most basic metaheuristics, may be a very competitive choice for solving computationally hard optimization problems. In addition, generation of starting solutions by greedy heuristics should be at least considered as one of very natural possibilities. In this critical survey, selected examples discussed include the traveling salesman, the resource-constrained project scheduling, the channel assignment, and computation of bounds for the Shannon capacity. Abstract

It is difficult to find the right tool for making traffic regime models because so many different situations are involved. Simulink has proved to be one of the best. The paper shows the design and the use of components and models in the program Matlab/SIMULINK. It presents the simulation results for the model of a traffic light controlled crossroad and indicates the possibilities for the study of traffic optimisation in junctions. Izjemna množica različnih situacij v prometu posledično povzroča tudi probleme pri iskanju primernega orodja za simuliranje različnih prometnih režimov. Izkazalo se je, da je SIMULINK eden od najboljših orodij za izvajanje tovrstnih simulacij. Članek prikazuje, kako oblikovati in uporabljati posamezne komponente in modele v programu Matlab/SIMULINK. Predstavljeni so rezultati izvedene simulacije na primeru semaforiziranega križanja prometnih tokov. Ob tem so zaznane posamezne možnosti za nadaljnjo optimizacijo semaforskih nastavitev.

m""/em""em"The process of urbanization of coastal tourist destinations (CTDs) is taking place at high speed and at the same time creating a lot of complex problems. The positive trend of urbanization has resulted in increased volume of freight transport which leads to burdening the traffic network, time losses and causes traffic congestion problems on the streets with increased environmental pollution due to emissions, noise and vibration. These findings brought to some research being started on the EU level, aiming to develop new logistic solutions, so these areas could be developed on a sustainable basis. With this in mind, the paper proposes a method of developing a novel model of logistics (MoL) for CTDs through several stages. The point of proposed MoL lies in achieving optimal connectivity of transportation, warehousing and physical distribution of goods, and making it a single functional model, so as to allow simultaneous optimization of logistic processes in a CTD, and to incorporate logistics in tourist offer."/em
