Abstract

The television is a media which can be used in the classroom for the teaching of History. The television news are, in many cases, information for the knowledgement of the pupils. The debates, discussions, chats or interviews with historical contents, can be also very interesting to work with them in class. But the most interesting material to work with are television series and documentaries about history, because they easily arrive to the pupils and they motivate them more. But although its huge possibilities, the television is under-used in the teaching of History in the classrooms.
