Generalmente, los proyectos de desarrollo GLAM (galleries, libraries, archives & museums) se asocian a la liberación de materiales textuales, gráficos o sonoros, que se ponen a disposición de todos los posibles usuarios, bajo licencias libres, sin que existan cortapisas para su reaprovechamiento y uso, sea comercial o no. Abstract

DBpedia y Wikidata are two semantic projects built on the top of Wikipedia encyclopedic content that has been crowdsourced, created, and maintained by thriving online communities. This article outlines differences and similarities between these two projects, pointing out their data models, curation patterns, and technologies. In addition, it forecasts some possible trends for their co-evolution as crossdomain open knowledge graphs and their significant value as hubs of interlinking datasets of various domains.

Abstract

This report highlights the most important recent activity in the field of semantic web, analyzing the most innovative aspects of the new RDF 1.1 recommendation, and discussing the first public working draft of Data on the web best practices. The evolution of semantic markup is analyzed, both from the point of view of standards and the practical applications on the Web. Wikipedia is identified as a dynamic factor in the semantic web, especially through the DBpedia and WikiData initiatives. Europeana and the Digital Public Library of America are clear references in the description of networked digital resources.
