The aim of this contribution is to present a series of organised benchmarks that helps at validating the robustness of the FE implementation of a constitutive relation, its pertinence with respect to experiments, and quantitative and qualitative comparisons of structural elements. It is applied to an isotropic damage model used for concrete, coupled with a non local gradient formulation to avoid a spurious description of strain localisation. After the elementary (uniaxial monotonic, cyclic or triaxial loading) and structural (three point bending tests) simulations, an industrial application is presented in the form of a representative structural volume of a containment building for French nuclear power plants.

This paper examines the impact of Netflix simultaneous release on the narrative structure of Mindhunter (2017Today). The analysis of its first season shows that it adopts a structural model unconstrained by the procedural format formula, and that the season is conceived as a feature film that develops a complex main character. Simultaneous release impacts in cliffhangers and episodic plots too, as they become less prominent.

Este artículo aborda el impacto del estreno simultáneo de Netflix en la estructura narrativa de Mindhunter (2017-Hoy). El análisis de su primera temporada muestra que adopta un modelo estructural libre de la fórmula del formato procedimental, y que se concibe la temporada como un largometraje que gira entorno al desarrollo de un personaje complejo. El estreno íntegro, además, hace que el cliffhanger o las tramas episódicas pierdan protagonismo.  

Abstract

This article presents the study of structural reinforcement for a building of educational use, known as "Old Type II". The school was built before the creation of the Venezuelan SeismoresistantCovenin 1756. The results of the structural analysis showed insufficient responsiveness to service requests, high vulnerability to seismic action and deficiencies in the quantity and distribution of reinforcing steel. For this reason, the reinforcement of the superstructure was proposed by the construction of panel walls, verifying their action on the existing piloting system. For the modeling, the values of resistance of the concrete obtained in the destructive tests made by the materials laboratory of the School of Civil Engineering of the Universidad Centroccidental Lisandro Alvarado and the soil parameters from the geotechnical study were used.
