Abstract

The author raises a reflection about the social function of means: information, diversion and formation. Based on it, it at the moment makes an analysis of the fulfilment of anticipated happiness through the programming of the Spanish televisions, as well as of the consequences that take place when being a mercantile conglomerate whose mission is the attainment of benefits. This is translated in a banalización of contents with the intention of increasing the hearing without considering before mentioned social function, harnessing the second aspect, the diversion, and annulling completely third of them.
