Abstract

The 13th International Conference on Logistics in Agriculture, which has been organized by the Municipality of Sevnica, Grm Novo mesto - Biotechnology and Tourism Center, Faculty of Logistics, University of Maribor, Landscape Governance College GRM, Cooperative Union of Slovenia has this year's central theme the role and importance of human resources in logistics in agriculture. The conference has become traditional and paves the way for a different view of logistics in connection with agriculture. That's why we have invited lecturers on the topic Electric vehicles in agriculture. 13. mednarodna konferenca Logistika v kmetijstvu, ki jo organiziramo Občina Sevnica, Grm Novo mesto – center biotehnike in turizma, Fakulteta za logistiko Univerze v Mariboru, Visoka šola za upravljanje podeželja GRM Novo mesto in Zadružna zveza Slovenije ima letošnjo osrednjo temo vloga in pomen človeških virov pri logistiki v kmetijstvu. Konferenca je postala že tradicionalna in utira pot različnim pogledom logistike v povezavi s kmetijstvom. Ravno zato imamo vabljenega predavatelja na temo Električna vozila v kmetijstvu.

Abstract

Production and stock optimization in supply chains is a complex problem because it determines the optimum quantity production in time. Due to their multileveld nature, those problems are mostly solved by different methods and models of dynamic programming. The problem discussed in this paper refers to the determination of optimum quantity of production and stocks within the supply chain in a certain period of time, as well as in each sub-interval of a period, but with the condition that the production and stock expenditure remains minimal and that the predetermined demand in every sub-interval and throughout the entire observation period remains satisfied. Optimalizacija proizvodnje i zaliha u opskrbnim lancima predstavlja iznimno složen problem, jer se radi o određivanju optimalne količine proizvodnje u vremenu. Takvi problemi se zbog svoje više-etapnosti najčešće rješavaju primjenom raznih metoda i modela dinamičkog programiranja. Problem koji se obraduje o ovoj znanstvenoj raspravi, odnosi se na određivanje optimalne količine proizvodnje i zaliha unutar opskrbnog lanca u određenom razdoblju, kao i u svakom pod-intervalu toga razdoblja, pod uvjetom da troškovi proizvodnje i zaliha, budu minimalni i da se zadovolji unaprijed zadana potražnja u svakom pod-intervalu, a tako i u cijelom promatranom razdoblju.

Abstract

itle"Abstract"/jats:title""jats:p"The paper addresses an analysis of potential synergies in collaboration between an observed Port in the Mediterranean Sea and Central-European logistic railway-services based company. Both companies have established a strategic partnership. The main motive was cooperation in rail transport, with a particular emphasis on potential synergies that would a rail traffic have brought to a port’s business. For the purpose of synergies valuation under uncertain conditions, a Monte Carlo simulation-based framework with integrated discounted cash flow (DCF) model is applied. The possible values of future synergies are calculated via the DCF model by simultaneously changing values of different uncertain financial parameters at each repetition of a Monte Carlo scenario-playing mechanism. In this process, predicted forecasts of future synergetic throughputs are also used for various types of observed cargo. As it turned out, the generated synergies’ values follow the approximate normal distribution. Based on statistical inference and analysis of probability intervals it was discovered that there might indeed exist certain important synergies in the collaboration between both companies. This fact has convinced us into a belief in the correctness of companies′ decision to enter into such kind of strategic cooperation. Document type: Article

Abstract

The author presents the results of the research in five parts, which are interconnected. After the introduction, in part two, entitled A Framework for Logistics Outsourcing Decisions, theoretical characteristics of outsourcing are presented. Part three, Core Competences and Outsourcing, describes the logistics competences. Part 4, Transport and Logistics Outsourcing in Europe, discusses the trends in logistics development and outsourcing. The paper will assist managers responsible for the development of logistics strategies. The paper offers a unique buyer-supplier partnership framework by proposing that the logistics outsourcing will increase the competitive advantage of manufacturing firms. Rezultate istraživanja autor je predstavio u pet međusobno povezanih dijelova. Nakon Uvoda, u drugom dijelu s naslovom Okvir za odluke u logističkom „outsourcingu“ predstavljene su teorijske značajke o „outsourcingu“. Logističke kompetencije i „outsourcing“ je naslov trećega dijela. U četvrtome dijelu, koji ima naslov Transportni i logistički „outsourcing“ u Europi, prikazani su trendovi razvoja logistike i „outsourcinga“. Ova znanstvena rasprava daje okvir za uspostavljanje jedinstvenog partnerstva između dobavljača i kupaca sa sugestijom, da logistički „outsourcing“ povećava kompetitivne prednosti industrijskih poduzeća. Rasprava će pomoći menadžerima u razvijanju logističkih strategija i koristiti istraživačima u istraživanju fenomena logističkog menadžmenta.

Supply chain in this industry has been directed towards the production of large batches to avoid lack of supplies, and the achievement of regulatory requirements, at the cost of high level of inventory, higher costs and inventory write-off due to expiration or other reasons. Abstract

"jats:p" The aim of this paper is to evaluate the sustainability of a novel internet-based system for food logistics and to create a framework for more detailed future sustainability assessments. Digitalization enables food shopping via the internet and food delivery from producers to consumers using only a single terminal. The sustainability of different food logistic options was evaluated through a literature review and life cycle assessment. Given the frame of reference, there is a gap in the knowledge on the sustainability of food logistics. In addition, the current literature does not recognize a novel internet-based system for food logistics, as the literature has focused on evaluating the internet-based food logistics of traditional actors. The life cycle assessment results show that new food logistic options could reduce GHG emissions, but various factors affect the magnitude of the reductions. We also present a systematic approach to which factors should be included in future research. This paper creates a base for more detailed future food logistic sustainability assessments. Abstract

Logistics forwarder, as organizer and planner of coordination and integration of all the transport and logistics chains elements, uses adequate ways and methods in the process of planning and decision-making. One of these methods analysed in this paper, which could be used in optimisation of transport and logistics processes and activities of logistics forwarder, is the multicriteria optimisation method. Using that method, in this paper is suggested model of multicriteria optimisation of logistics forwarder activities. The suggested model of optimisation is justified in keeping with method principles of multicriteria optimization, which is included in operation research methods and it represents the process of multicriteria optimization of variants. Among many different processes of multicriteria optimization, PROMETHEE (Preference Ranking OrganizationMethod for Enrichment Evaluations) and Promcalc& Gaia V. 3.2., computer program of multicriteria programming, which is based on the mentioned process, were used. Logistički špediter, kao glavni organizator i planer koordiniranosti i integriranosti svih elemenata unutar transportnih i logističkih procesa koristi primjerene načine i metode planiranja i odlučivanja. Jedna od metoda koja može naći svoju primjenu u optimizaciji predmetnih transportnih logističkih procesa i djelatnosti logističkih špeditera, a koja je analizirana u ovoj raspravi je metoda višekriterijske optimizacije. Korištenjem te metode u ovoj raspravi je predložen model višekriterijske optimizacije aktivnosti logističkoga špeditera. Predloženi model osmišljen je u skladu s temeljnim principima metode višekriterijske optimizacije, koja spada u metode operacijskih istraživanja, a predstavlja postupak višekriterijskog rangiranja varijanti. Između više različitih postupaka višekriterijske optimizacije, korišten je postupak PROMETHEE (Preference Ranking Organization Method for Enrichment Evaluations) te računalni program višekriterijskog programiranja Promcalc & Gaia V 3.2., koji se temelji na navedenom postupku.

Abstract

Throughout the history, the transportation of goods and related logistics have played an important role in human development and existence. This pertains to numerous interlinked processes, whose management is often linked to social system, international linkages, development of industry, market and market specifics. In modern times, the management of these processes is increasingly bound to globalization of production and market, moving of production to countries with cheaper labour force, environmental protection. The present Slovenian economy depends to a large extent on economies and corporate relations of the European Union and the world. Such inter-connectedness demands frequent transportation of semi-finished and finished goods. By providing timely delivery of goods, transportation consequently enables inter-organizational linkages and individual production, economic, market and other processes. Organizational and inter-organizational management of transport logistics demands profound understanding of transport flows, freight forwarding expertise and knowledge of transport, tax, environmental and other related regulations. Adequate knowledge and mastering of cultural, linguistic, national and other differences is important as well. The presented analysis and evaluation form the basis of the construction of inter-organizational model of logistics management in Slovenia. Skozi zgodovino je prevoz blaga in s tem v povezavi z logistiko igral pomembno vlogo v človeškem razvoju in obstoju. To se nanaša na številne medsebojno povezane procese, katerih upravljanje je pogosto povezano z družbenim sistemom, mednarodnimi povezavami, razvoju industrije, trga in specifike le tega. V sodobnem času, je obvladovanje teh procesov vse bolj vezano na globalizacijo proizvodnje in trga, ki se giblje od proizvodnje v države s cenejšo delovno silo z okoljskim protekcionizmom. Slovensko gospodarstvo je v veliki meri odvisno od gospodarstva in korporativnih odnosov v Evropski uniji in svetu. Takšna medsebojna povezanost zahteva pogoste prevoze polizdelkov in končnih izdelkov. Z zagotavljanjem pravočasne dostave blaga, transport posledično omogoča medorganizacijske povezave in individualno proizvodnjo, gospodarstva, trga in druge postopke. Organizacijsko in medorganizacijsko upravljanje logistike zahteva globoko razumevanje prometnih tokov, špedicijo in strokovnega znanja o prometu, davkih, okoljskih in drugih povezanih predpisov. Ustrezno znanje in obvladovanje kulturnih, jezikovnih, nacionalnih in drugih razlik, je ravno tako pomembno. Predstavljena analiza in ocena je osnova za gradnjo medorganizacijskega modela logističnega upravljanja v Sloveniji.

Abstract

The development of logistics has contributed a lot to all the branches of economy. A successful economic subject cannot exist without a well-developed logistic branch. The organization of logistics has become a strategic element of the policy making of enterprises. Modern logistics enables us to bring into line different interests in material flow management. Global organizers of logistic services are developing and specialising in some essential services, such as combining of cargo into assembly consignements and also their distribution. The biggest global tenderers of logictic services are considered (DHL, TNT, FEDEX, UPS, etc). Razvoj logistike je v veliki meri pripomogel k razcvetu vseh panog gospodarstva. Ni uspešnega gospodarskega subjekta, ki ne bi imel zelo razvito vejo logistike. V gospodarstvu postaja organiziranost logistike strateški element vodenja podjetij. Logistika torej sodi med tista področja, ki bodo pomembno vplivala na naše življenje, zato je razvoj logističnega sistema izjemnega pomena, tako za gospodarstvo kakor tudi za negospodarske dejavnosti. Torej nam sodobna logistika omogoča uskladitev različnih interesov v upravljanju materialnega toka. Razvijajo se globalni organizatorji logističnih storitev, ki se razvijejo in specializirajo na nekaj ključnih storitev, med katere spada združevanja tovora v zbirne pošiljke ter tudi sama distribucija teh pošiljk. Med največje globalne ponudnike logističnih storitev prištevamo podjetja kot so: DHL, TNT, FED EX, UPS ...

Abstract

"jats:p"The performance of tourism supply chains depends on the efficiency of all members involved, including the travel agencies. The paper addresses the analysis of relationships between the agencies’ external integration with other supply chain members on one side, and the efficiency of the agencies on the other. The data envelopment analysis is applied for the estimation of efficiencies, while the structural equation modelling (SEM) is conducted for identification of possible integration impacts on the efficiency. Results show that integration with other supply chain members indeed has some positive impacts on the agencies’ efficiency. Also, the developed SEM model implies that in-depth forms of collaboration would enable more effective exploitation of the identified relations between the integration and efficiency of the agencies. This finding could be an important guideline for the agencies’ management in the sense of achieving more satisfied customers and bigger profits, as well as reduced operational costs.
