Abstract

Newsroom convergence at El País and its online edition means a challenge for the department of Documentation, whose history is one of evolution from analogical to digital formats. This review describes the evolution that has taken place in the photograph indexing and classification processes. Content control and visibility are the main goals of a department whose aim is knowledge management within the organization.
