	<description><![CDATA[<p>Daniela Gutstein holds a doctorate and master&#39;s degree in Civil Engineering, structures application area by the Postgraduate Program in Civil Engineering - UFSC.</p><p>Is graduated in Civil Engineering by the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC) and had undergraduate scholarship at Special Training Program (PET / ECV), CNPq doctoral scholarship and participated in the research and development project of the National Electric Energy Agency (ANEEL), coordinated by Tractebel Energia and GAP / UFSC.&nbsp;</p><p>Has experience in feasibility studies and hydroelectric power plants projects, totaling 20 years of professional experience, including&nbsp;5 years&nbsp;teaching experience at the higher level and worked from 2011 to 2016 as a teacher of Normalization and Precast Concrete Structures disciplines, from Postgraduate Courses of the IDD Institute (Instituto IDD).</p><p>The main researches areas are concrete dam&nbsp; (numerical analysis and structural desing), precast concrete structures and design of concrete structures.&nbsp;</p><p>Currently is an adjunct professor at the Federal Technological University of Paran&aacute; (UTFPR), Campus Curitiba, since 2017 and&nbsp;co-author of the chapter Prefabricated Concrete published in the book &quot;Concrete: Science and Technology&quot; (IBRACON, 2011), between others.</p><p>She has worked in developing technical standards for precast concrete since 2003, highlighting the Coordination of the Study Commission of the Hollow Core Slabs and Panels of Precast Concrete of the Brazilian Association of Technical Standards (ABNT), during the elaboration of the ABNT technical standard &quot;Precast Prestressed Hollow Core Slabs &ndash; Requirements and Procedures&quot; (ABNT NBR14861) published in 2011.</p><p>Has worked as a secretary of the Study Commission of Design and Execution of Precast Concrete Structures, in the last two reviews of the technical standard published by this Commission (ABNT NBR9062). She was also member of the review technical standards Committees: Design of Concrete Structures (ABNT NBR6118: 2014) and Fire Design of Concrete Structures (NBR 15200: 2012). She is a member of the Instituto Brasileiro do Concreto (IBRACON), Comit&ecirc; Brasileiro de Barragens (CBDB) and Associa&ccedil;&atilde;o Brasileira da Constru&ccedil;&atilde;o Industrializada de Concreto (ABCIC).</p>]]></description>

I hold also a Master&#39;s Degree in Applied Mathematics (1993) and PhD in Engineering (1995) from Brown University. In 2002-2003, I went to Barcelona/Spain for Post-Doctoral stay at CIMNE / Quantech. I was a professor at the School of Mechanical Engineering/UFU from July 1987 to March 2017. I am currently a Volunteer Professor at the Federal University of Uberl&acirc;ndia/UFU. I have experience in Mechanical Engineering, with emphasis on Mechanics of Solid, Elastic and Plastic Bodies, working mainly on the following topics: Simulation of &nbsp;forming processes and &nbsp;contact mechanics, finite elements simulations, stress and strain analysis and biomechanics. I am a member of the CIMNE Classroom &nbsp;Network (Agreement with the International Center for Numerical Methods in Enginery / UPC / Spain) since 2004, and I am &nbsp;the Coordinator of the FEMEC-CIMNE Classroom that houses the activities of this agreement. From June of 2006 to December of 2008 I acted as Director of Intellectual Property and Innovation of UFU.
