Andres Rodriguez was born in Cordoba,
Argentina, 1961. He received the Civil Engineering
degree from the National University of Cordoba,
Cordoba, Argentina, 1985 and the Ph.D. degree in
marine sciences from the Politechnical University of
Catalonia (UPC), Barcelona, Spain, 1997.
He began his carrier as a Research Assistant at
Facultad de Cs. Exactas F´ısicas y Naturales (FCEFyN),
Cordoba, Argentina, 1981. Later he was an
Adjunct Professor since 1990. Since 1997, he has
been a Full Professor. He was a Researcher at The
National Scientific and Technical Research Council (CONICET) from 2001
to the present reaching the Independent category in 2007. During 1991–1997,
he was an Associate Professor of Maritime Hydraulics at the Laboratory of
Maritime Engineering (LIM) Engineering, UPC, Barcelona, Spain. He is an
Associate Researcher of NationalWater Institute since 1997. He is currently the
Director of the Hydraulics Laboratory, FCFyN since 1997 . He was the President
of Directory of Superior Institute of Water Resources ISRH of UNC since
its creation in 2002 up to 2007, and the Director of the Sistema Nacional de
RadaresMeteorolgicos (SINARAME) project of meteorological radar coverage
of Argentina since its creation in 2009 up to 2015. His research interests include
fluvial hydraulics, experimental and numerical hydrodynamics, maritime and
environmental engineering, and radar hidro-meteorology. He is the author and
coauthor of more than 60 papers, 9 book chapters, 4 books, and more than 200
conference presentations and one patent. He has directed or codirected 18 Master and 12 Doctoral Thesis. Dr. Rodriguez received the national prize of Arg. National Academy of Engineering in 2000. At present he is Director of Hydraulics Department of UNC.

Dr. Tena-Colunga obtained his BSc. in Civil Engineering at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) and his MSc. and Ph.D. in Civil Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). Currently, he is a Professor at Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana Azcapotzalco in Mexico City. He is Member of the Mexican Academy of Engineering since 2000 and member of the National System of Researchers of Mexico since 1993. He has published more than 300 scientific publications. He is a member of the Committee for the Seismic Design Regulations for Building Structures for the Manual of Civil Works, a model building code of Mexico and also in the Committee for Masonry Structures for Mexico´s Federal District Building Code.

MSc in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering by the Technical University of Madrid (UPM) and PhD in Civil Engineering by the Technical University of Catalonia (UPC).

Currently, I am full professor of shipbuilding technology at the Higher Technical School of Naval Architects and Offshore Engineers (ETSIN) of the Technical University of Madrid and the Deputy Director of Institutional Relations.

I conduct my research in collaboration with the Model Basin Research Group at ETSIN (CEHINAV) and the International Center for Numerical Methods in Engineering (CIMNE). My research career has focused on developing computational models for fluid-structure interaction analysis and their application to the design and verification of ships, platforms, and marine structures.

I am the author of more than 35 articles published in first-tier international journals, have presented over 80 papers at international conferences, and have participated in more than 25 European or international research projects.

Additionally, I have been the promoter and co-founder of Compass IS, a company specializing in engineering design, and Scipedia, the developer of the platforms Scipedia.com and BIM TeamUp.

Professor, Director of the Civil Infrastructure Research Center, Associate Director for Graduate Studies and Research of Civil Engineering and Surveying Department, University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez. Obtained Bachelor and Master Degrees in Civil Engineering at UPRM and PhD at University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. Research interests include behavior of reinforced concrete structures subjected to earthquake loads, mitigation of natural hazards, and resilience of infrastructure. Some sample publications include “Estimating Damage Caused by Natural Hazards for the Insurance Industry in Puerto Rico”, published in revista Dimensión in 2005, “Effect of the Interior Masonry Wall on the Seismic Behavior of Concrete Houses – An Experimental Study” presented in 14^th Earthquake Engineering World Conference Beijing, China, and “Análisis No lineal Estático y Dinámico de Pórticos de Hormigón Armado con Deficiencia en el Hormigón de las Columnas” published in Computational Mechanics Journal in Argentina. Dr. López is member of ACI committee 318H-Seismic Design, and is Secretary of the Earthquake Commission of the College of Engineers and Surveyors of Puerto Rico.
