Senior Project Manager & Technical Coordinator at AIMEN Technology Center

She holds a degree in Chemistry (Physical Chemistry) and an MSc in Welding Engineering, both from the University of Vigo (Spain). She began her career at AIMEN in 2007 in the NDT department, specializing in non-destructive testing of materials. With over 12 years of experience in composite materials, manufacturing, and testing. She also spent two months in 2014 at TPRC (ThermoPlastic Research Center), working on composite welding. She has been involved in European, national, and regional R&D projects focused on advanced manufacturing processes for composite and multi-materials in the automotive, naval, aeronautical, and wind sectors. Currently, she works at Advanced Composites Technologies as a Senior Researcher, specializing in infusion manufacturing processes for composite materials.

1994-2001: Studies of Civil Engineering (Bachelor and Master Degree) at the Technical University of Catalonia (UPC).

2001-2004: Project engineer at Pedelta S.L. Role as main project engineer in the design of bridges, footbridges and other special structures.

2004-2008: Doctoral studies in the Structural Analysis program of the Strength of Materials and Structural Engineering Department, of the UPC. These studies were conducted with a fellowship provided by the International Centre for Numerical Methods in Engineering (CIMNE).

2008: Dissertation of the PhD: “Micro-mechanical simulation of composite materials using the serial/parallel mixing theory” supervised by Dr. Sergio Oller.

2008-2009: Visiting scientist and Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE) department of the West Virginia University (WVU). The main task conducted in this period is the coordination of the “Resilient Tunnel Project” sponsored by Homeland Security (budget > $5,000,000)

2009-2014: Visiting professor at the Science and Nautical Engineering Department (DCEN) of the UPC. The teaching activity is conducted at the School of Nautical Studies (FNB) and at the School of Civil Engineering (ETSECCPB).

2012: Research stay at the MAE department of WVU

2013-17: Vice-dean Director of Studies at the FNB

2014: Contracted as Visiting lecturer at DCEN

2015: Board member of the Spanish Association of Composite Materials (AEMAC)

2017: Editor of the scientific journal Materiales Compuestos (Composite Materials) edited by AEMAC.

2019: Coordinator of the Master's program on Naval and Ocean Engineering

Currently working in three european projects related to composite materials: Fibre4Yards, Fibregy and Acasisas. In the former one acting as PI of the whole project.
