Senior researcher at the International Centre of Numerical Methods in Engineering (CIMNE: <a href="http://www.cimne.com/">www.cimne.com</a>) Barcelona, Spain. Supervisor of 38 doctoral theses. Current research interests: seismic analysis and design of structures; evaluation of the seismic damage of structures; seismic vulnerability and risk evaluation; and active and passive control of structures. She began her career at AIMEN<span style="font-size: 12.8px; font-style: normal; font-weight: 400;">&nbsp;in 2007</span> in the NDT department, specializing in non-destructive testing of materials. With over 12&nbsp;years of experience in composite materials, manufacturing, and testing. She also spent two months in 2014 at TPRC (ThermoPlastic Research Center), working on composite welding. She has been involved in European, national, and regional R&amp;D projects focused on advanced manufacturing processes for composite and multi-materials in the automotive, naval, aeronautical, and wind sectors. Currently, she works at Advanced Composites Technologies&nbsp;as a Senior Researcher, specializing in infusion manufacturing processes for composite materials.</p>]]></description>

Role as main project engineer in the design of bridges, footbridges and other special structures.</p><p style="text-align: left;">2004-2008: Doctoral studies in the Structural Analysis program of the Strength of Materials and Structural Engineering Department, of the UPC. These studies were conducted with a fellowship provided by the International Centre for Numerical Methods in Engineering (CIMNE).</p><p style="text-align: left;">2008: Dissertation of the PhD: &ldquo;Micro-mechanical simulation of composite materials using the serial/parallel mixing theory&rdquo; supervised by Dr. Sergio Oller.</p><p style="text-align: left;">2008-2009: Visiting scientist and Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE) department of the West Virginia University (WVU). The main task conducted in this period is the coordination of the &ldquo;Resilient Tunnel Project&rdquo; sponsored by Homeland Security (budget &gt; $5,000,000)</p><p style="text-align: left;">2009-2014: Visiting professor at the Science and Nautical Engineering Department (DCEN) of the UPC.
